New England Automotive does not stand by their work or the warranty.
My first experience at New England Automotive was having my car inspected, which went fine. Furthermore, I was given a list of things my car needed to have serviced in the near future.
That said, one service suggested was my alternator belt, a/c belt, and power steering belt, which I had changed in August 2024 through them.
Since my belts were changed, my car makes a noise almost every time I turn it on. As a result, I called the car service and notified them of this, and I was told to bring it in, which I did. New England Automotive told me they could not replicate the noise, so I would have to leave it overnight. I responded by saying It is not something I could do because I needed a way to get home, work, etc. However, I said, I would wait around until the car cooled off so they could replicate the noise. Their response was that they did not have the time, so I left.
As a result, I decided to bring my car to the Hyundai dealership, which I have been using for over 8 years. They looked at my car and were able to replicate the noise and told me it was due to the aftermarket belts, which are notorious for producing noise.
After getting this feedback, I contacted New England Automotive, (via telephone and left a message) to express my disappointment of not being told they were installing aftermarket vs original parts, or at least be given the choice. I am still waiting for a response from them.
I would never suggest New England Automotive to a friend because when something goes wrong they do not stand by their work or the warranty.
