They are willing to lie to customers to make a buck
THIS IS A WARNING NOT A REVIEW! PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CONTACTING REMPT FOR ANY AUDI WORK! DO NOT TRUST THEM, THEY ARE MORE THAN WILLING TO LIE TO YOU TO MAKE AS LITTLE AS 300 DOLLARS.
I normally don't leave reviews for businesses unless they are good ones, unfortunately this business has stood out as one that people need to be told to avoid.
I went to them for a pre purchase inspection for a Audi a8, with a large investment I wanted to go to professionals to be able to let me know whether or not I should commit to the purchase. The cost was 275 dollars which I felt was reasonable if it would let me know if the car had issues before the purchase.
Upon getting the car back from the shop I was given their approval to purchase and told the only real point on which to haggle price was the life of the tires, the other points in the report were a sensor, an old coolant stain on the belly pan, and that the hood struts were going out
Based on this inspection I purchased the vehicle, when I got home (2 hour drive) the low coolant light came on as did the tire pressure light.
I decided to open the hood and take a look around, upon trying to open the hood I found it to be jammed shut and the hood latch was not functional, it was already afternoon so I decided to read on the subject that evening and in the morning to look again.
The following morning there was a large puddle under my car, I looked under the car and saw it dripping from the belly pan, I checked my tire pressures and found the rear tires to both be 20psi lower than the front ones. I still could not access my hood because of the jammed latch. At this point I called my audi mechanic that I normally work with and set up an appointment with him.
I decided to open the belly pan to see what had happened, upon opening it the entire belly pan was soaked in coolant, I removed the belly pan and found a large leak next to the thermostat housing, which I specifically added as an area to inspect in my request.
I towed the car to my mechanic, after he worked open the latch we found that the hood struts worked perfectly so the hood had never been opened.
This business never checked the tire pressures, opened the belly pan, or the hood for a pre purchase inspection, they then told the person paying them that this purchase was a wise decision.
PLEASE, TAKE THE TIME TO FIND ANOTHER BUSINESS, SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION!
When I contacted them they told me it must have all been very unfortunate timing that all these things broke immediately after the inspection because they had all been in good shape during the inspection.
This company doesn't have any integrity and doesn't stand behind their work, they are willing to lie to customers in order to make 300 dollars.
The only reason I went to them is because the other Audi mechanic was booked out, I can now see why, because this company is one to avoid at all costs.
I hope you take this to heart and call around before throwing your money at somebody who only cares about their paycheck and not about their customers.
