Went to one place before this and the worker was walking out and locking the door as I pulled up at 5pm on a Friday when their hours said 6pm online. I asked if they were closed and the worker just said “yep” and kept walking to his car.
When I pulled up to Safeway they were also closed but still inside doing paperwork and rather than saying we’re closed, they were interested in what I was doing and asked questions and said they can definitely help. Came back immediately when they re opened and was a great experience.
You could tell they treated it is their own business rather than an hourly job and 5pm meant time for the weekend. Will absolutely go here again, and probably never go to the other place again.
