Minor issues

Car is great aside from minor complaints. Lots of creaking/rattling in the cabin, which is not very luxurious. Could use better sound deadening for exterior road noise. JDS (jerky downshift syndrome) is also something that needs to be addressed with any vehicles that use this transmission. Also I had the recall done for the fuel pump but they determined I only necessitated the software update instead of the pump replacement. If it is a known issue, why not just replace it? Seems silly and short sighted. Also get more valet cars available at your standalone dealerships. I should not have to take an uber home if I need to leave the vehicle.

Overall excellent value for money. High on features, comfort level and driving fun. Could be better - build quality (sunroof rattle), fuel efficiency and rear seat legroom.

G70 review from multiple G70 leaser

Been pretty happy with this 23’ version. The upgrades other than the body style are nice. The interior is on the higher end. Particularly love the cream colored seats. The performance is really its bright spot! I prefer the 2020-21 body style more. Also noticed some parts have gotten cheaper. Like the plastic tabs on the under side of the front end. When pulling up to parking curbs they rub (not sure why the clearance is so low) to the point they fall off and the cheap cardboard like underskirt gets exposed and falls. Also the tires don’t last very long. But overall it’s a really good car.

This is a great car. It's quick, comfortable and reliable. Genesis of Lindon has been a great dealer to work with here in Utah. I'll be a Genesis owner for as long as they will have me.

Great car, only a couple downsides

This car is very nice and athletic looking. I love the feel and sense of power it gives me every time I get inside it. The materials and use of physical buttons are immaculate. I have only great things to say about this car. Small caveat of 3 things. The back seat foot space is pretty small and cramped. I wish the back seats had another inch or inch and a half of space and it would really alleviate/lessen the problem. My only other gripe is the car seems to begin to choke out towards the upper range of its power. Give it another 20-50 horsepower and it will be a BEAST. The only other small gripe I have is the body roll in turns. It's a simple fix, but it would be nice to stiffen the chassis and put a bigger sway bar on to reduce body roll. Other than those three things, I absolutely LOVE this car and tell everyone about it.

Great while its running

I have had the engine shut off on the highway three times in two years. Genesis has no excuse and even denied this happening. Unfortunately, this will be my families last genesis

Nice looking and gets the job done, but nothing exceptional

The Genesis G70 is certainly stylish on the road. The seats are relatively comfortable, but everything to do with auto steering is an absolute mess. It's confusing and drifts in and out of lanes very poorly. And now they added this automatic lane assist update which has nearly gotten me into an accident several times and I can't get rid of it. My review would be much higher if it weren't for that automatic update. VERY dangerous.

Battery issues

My only issue with the car is I’ve had to replace the battery. I don’t use the car every day and a few times after leaving it for two weeks I needed to have the battery jumped. The battery finally totally died and needed to be replaced. I have had a BMW a Mercedes and an Alfa Romeo and have used them as in frequently as this car and never had an issue with them.

Car Is Great! (...but the Sales Process Sucked)

Wonderful Car. Beautiful. Comfortable. Reliable. Many Features. But the Dealership Stole Money from me during the sales process by hiding details about costs (A total of $1,377.00) in the purchase agreement. Would never buy from them again.
