in shop for almost 2 months with misfires. Genesis Corp not helpful!
Absolutely loved my GV70 until I didn't. Coming from MB and BMW most of my life, I thought I would try. I tend to be very loyal to my auto brands. Genesis of Schaumburg were as helpful as they could be - but Corporate was not at all. Suspected computer issues dragged out because tech dept wanted to take step-by-step action replacing injectors, plugs, etc. Genesis offered to "compensate" me for my aggravation and wanted to know what my monthly payment was. I had to provide this info. $550 for almost 2 months without my vehicle? Finally "fixed", the dealership kept for an extra 3 days to make sure we were good to go. I left for California for 2 weeks and came back. Started GV70 and engine light was on once again. I took vehicle to shop once again and they determined misfiring. I was now done with your brand and all the aggravation it brought me. I spoke to Cierra in customer care and I explained that $550 was little compensation for the situation and I mentioned I should receive at least double that. Here is where you have really lost me: You determined that $1100 was too much and you sent me $915.16. How shameful!! I left the GV70 at the dealership and received wholesale value and went next door to purchase a new 2025 BMW X3. I am not happy because I now have a new car payment for 5 years and I only owed $9,500 on the Genesis. You may have the best warranty in the world, but it's only as good as the people behind it. The vehicle probably needed a computer all along, but I'm not sure. Just know that you have lost a customer for life. I will never recommend your product to anyone again. In fact, I purchased a new Kia Seltos for my daughter because I had felt so good about the Hyundai brand. I hope this gives her years of service. Me? The people behind your brand let me down big time. Please pass on to someone who cares about customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
