We Love Our New Genesis GV70, but....

We absolutely love our new Genesis GV70 (Advanced trim package). Great ride, plenty of power, very quiet cabin, and an amazing sound system (Bang & Olufsen) that puts Bose to shame. We wanted to downsize a bit from our Acura MDX, and this size works well for us overall. However, there is a distinct lack of storage for needed items. The console is very, very small. There is a lack of other storage areas, compared to other brands. The storage area in the "spare tire" section is very limited. While we knew we would make some compromises with our downsizing decision, a lot of the poor storage issues seem to be a result of poor engineering vs. a lack of potential space.

Some issues

Upon acceleration, there is some Unsteady pulsing. Also down shifting, and then accelerating is not smooth. The auto hold light is constantly lit. Otherwise, the car is fantastic with great fit and finish and design.

THE VEHICLE IS A FANTASTIC CAR. SALES AND DELIVERY, THAT'S ANOTHER STORY. SALES PERSON DELIVERED THE VEHICLE, AND TOOK 90 MINUTES TO EXPLAIN IT'S BASIC FUNCTIONS. WHILE OFFERING TO COME TO MY HOME THE FOLLOWING WEEK FOR A VERY EXTENSIVE EXPLANATION OF ALL FUNCTIONS. WELL, IT'S BEEN SIX MONTHS AND I AM STILL WAITING. !!!!!!!!! I DEFINITELY HOPE THAT SOMEBODY WILL READ THIS AND WORK TO CORRECT THE SITUATION.

Only problem is that changing driver profile often requires reconnecting your phone to the GV70 Bluetooth even though both of our phones are entered into both profiles.

Excellent value

Warranty: Fanastic, but requiress you to be within reasonable distance to a Genesis dealer since Hyundai dealers don't service them. Interior: Excellent and comfortable Engine: 2.5L turbo has sufficient torque and horsepower. Handling: Good, but not as tight as a BMW or Audi, then again, its $20k less Tech: Works fine. Built in navigation is poor compared to Google maps. Nice having a cell phone charger Sound: Premium Bang & Olefson stereo is dissapointing. Tubby bass, lacks punch and definition. Fewer higher quality speakers would be preferred over the 12 low quality speakers installed. Thin subwoofers mounted under front seats is a terrible idea. (PS: 8" woofers should not be called SUBwoofers)

Well made car, plenty of of pep and comfort, beautifully designed

The hood appears to not fit the body well, the wheel hub nuts need to be painted the same color as wheels, cup holders are small and hard to manage drink jugs, volume control for passenger should be near passenger side, seat warmer controls are too close to more frequently used selections. Otherwise, this car is great!
