An extraordinary vehicle
I bought a Genesis GV70 in 2022 when they first came on the market. I saw one drive slowly past me in a parking lot and I was intrigued by its beautiful lines. I happened to be in the market to replace my Mazda CX9, which is also an awesome vehicle. I did some research and saw that the GV70 recently won Motor Trend magazine's SUV of the year, beating out all of the big dogs on the market including BMW, Mercedes, Acura, and a half a dozen or so other long established car manufacturers. So I went down to the local new Genesis dealership and managed to buy one coming in on the ship within the next few days. I happily drove that car for 4 years with only a few relatively minor issues mostly related to recalls, as one can expect with a first year model. Each time the car required service, the Genesis dealership would come to my house and pick up my car and leave me with an almost new loaner Genesis. It was great because it gave me the opportunity to drive other models, including the electric GV70, a GV80, (what a car!), and a couple other models. It was enough to secure my new found love for Genesis vehicles, so I recently purchased a Ceres Blue '26 GV70, which I find is a notable improvement over the '22, especially with the driver assist technology. (The '22 driver assist program was not very good.) I also find improvement in ride smoothness and quietness, handling, and braking. I don't find much noticeable improvement in acceleration, as they both make great use of the 300 hp turbo 4 cylinders under the hood. I believe the gas mileage has been very similar. The upgrades to the interior are remarkable, however. The much larger 27" screen is very nice and very useful, and the quality if the materials throughout are first class. The only criticism I have is the removal of the volume dial near the dial shifter. But Im getting used to it now on the steering wheel. Also, there are many new programmable features in the new Genesis that would take a half hour to talk about. The exteriors are mostly indistinguishable from one another except for 2 major changes: The removal of the dual exhaust ports from the '22 model, (a disappointment), and the new wheels, (both are great, but the new ones are much easier to clean.) There are other improvements to talk about, but suffice to say I am so far very pleased with my decision to buy my 2026 GV70. I would highly recommend checking one out if you're in the market for a mid size luxury SUV.
