A lot of great features but some concerning issues too
Let me start with this: This was a brand new car with about 100 miles on it when I purchased it.
Here are the good points: love the overall design, runs smoothly, great gas mileage, comfortable seats, love the digital display design, plenty of room front and back, Hyundai app has great features for remote starting, locking and unlocking, and a few other conveniences.
Here are the bad points: The windshield glass has millions of tiny imperfections inherent in the glass itself which are only visible when the sun is shining through at a certain angle. Also there were multiple imprints of circles and weird cog-like images that show up when the windshield is even slightly foggy. They are virtually impossible to remove no matter how hard I try. It’s been 19 months and the circles still show up, once again, when the sun shines through at a certain angle. When I take the car through the car wash there are literally soap suds on the INSIDE of the front grill lights. Never in the 50+ years that I have been driving have I ever had this happen. The service dept. in Schaumburg IL where I purchased the car actually told me that that was how the front lights were designed!!! They had no answer (and basically said just live with it) for addressing any of the windshield and headlight issues. The front window defroster isn’t very efficient either. Also there is what Hyundai calls a safety feature on the steering wheel that, when activated, will set the top speed of the car. This happened to me twice!! Somehow I activated it when pulling out into traffic and it would not let me accelerate above 20mph or whatever speed I was going when I pulled out. This is extremely dangerous and, I believe, totally unnecessary. I actually thought I had an engine problem and pulled over to call Hyundai service.
