Great Performance and a Fabulous Value

I am a huge sportscar racing fan, especially IMSA (International Motor Sports Association) racing, and I like the Michelin Pilot Series as it uses production vehicles modified for racing. I especially like the TCR (Touring Car Racing) which is for front wheel drive cars. With the assistance of Albert Biermann (of BMW M cars fame), Hyundai created the Hyundai Elantra N and they have won the IMSA TCR championship for the last 6 years (2020 - 2025) straight. I am very impressed. The car is fast, handles very well, can hold up to 5 people and gets good gas mileage. I recently read an article about 10 of the best cars for under $100,000, and most of the vehicles in the list cost $70,000/$80,000/$90,000, and the Hyundai Elantra N is included on the list and costs under $40,000 - a screaming good value. Last, but not least, the Hyundai Elantra N can be had with a 6 speed manual transmission. For me, it doesn't get any better than that!

amazing driving car i have so much fun and has been super reliable no problems what so ever just a horn going out but got that easily fixed through warranty beautiful car inside and out seats can be a little bit of a pain on longer rides but they’re beautiful and wouldnt trade it sounds so amazing stock and w some modifications can sound even better i love it so much

Hyundai Elantra N 2023

The car runs very smooth, optimal for a budget sports car. The only problems I come across is the exhausts rattle after about 10K miles but not so much that they are falling off, they just sound loose and worn down. The mpg on the car is perfect for both city and highway at about 27 city/mpg and 32 highway/mpg. There's a random indicator that pops up randomly whenever I go out for a drive on the dashboard but it clears itself, this is a known glitch/issue that just hasn't been fixed at all throughout the cars system updates on the computer. I give the car a solid 8/10 with the few issues I've come across but it seems they fixed a lot of the performance and technical issues with the 2024 version of this vehicle.

Great vehicle overall, many minor issues. Horn is not reliable and has failed. Tires are not the best, no spare tire either.

Great value performance car

This car is a blast to drive yet gets good gas mileage. It has great style and many features. I however do wish that it could easily sense the use of high octane fuel instead of going through a detailed process that only works part of the time.

I love the car, my only complaint is the little thi gs that went wrong. Somehow me seathead rest melted! Been like 5 months and the dealership still hasn't gotten back to me yet about fixing it. For the 2nd time my horn quit working, and the latch to open the truck broke off. The actual driving and look of the car is great but skimping on some of the nonmechanical parks takes away from that.

Best performance for the money by far

I absolutely love my Elantra N. I was looking for something sporty, but practical and I have not regretted my choice at all. Hyundai clearly put in the effort to ensure that this car had true performance shops, and it undercuts the price of its nearest competitors significantly. For anyone looking in this price range for both fun and practicality, this is the perfect car.

Fun, but needs a little more love in the interior

It’s been a fun, reliable car so far. The main downside is the interior build quality. The plastics in the center of the front seating area in particular feel cheap. Lots of creaking and rattling from the center dash and grab handle.

Hyundai Elantra N DCT

The Elantra N is supposed to be a budget friendly performance car. And that's exactly what it is. It's the best "bang for you buck" car (new or used) that you can find on the market. For half the price of a new Civic Type R, you get all the performance, and better technology and features. The only complaints I have with the car are the interior noises such as creaks and rattles, no front parking sensors, and the lack of ventilated seats. Other than that, this car is as close to perfect as you can get at the price point for a performance car.

Greta performance, less than desirable quality

The car is extremely fun to drive, no doubt. The car is a bargain compared to its competition. But after owning it, you can see why. Random bits of the exterior would crack. Regardless of how meticulous I maintained it, something still went wrong. Poor quality plastics on the exterior. Both side skirts cracked on their own. Front bumper cracked. Mechanically, car is meh. Back to back injector failures on the car were not fun. The O2 sensor acting up made it not fun. The high pressure fuel pump failing was not fun. The shaft of the turbo having play was not fun. All before 23k miles.
