Practical, Affordable, N Fun!
The Elantra N is what happens when you take a practical sedan and design it around being a fun daily driver you can also take to the track. I find myself finding excuses just to go out and drive it, whether it is to work or somewhere fun, it makes me smile to hear that engine and feel the engagement of the steering in this car.
While it isn't the best in every aspect, it isn't trying to be either. It's a fun car that is accessible in price, easy to drive, but also an absolute rascal if you throw it into a canyon or curvy road. You might argue that it's competitors are better performing or others offer more daily driving livability or others might have better build quality, and while some of those things may be true, this Hyundai actually has soul. It doesn't feel too polished, but rather it's kinda in your face in N mode, but it's back to being civil when you're back in eco or normal.
It's not the perfect car for everyone, but I do believe that others should at least give it a try, it might surprise you.
