Love my new car.

Wasn't sure how I felt about that grab bar in the center front between the seats, but got used to it being there almost immediately. The car sits a little lower than the 2 Sonatas I previously owned but that seems to be just fine.

Cheap

Seat belt sticks, many uneven surfaces, windows fog on the outside. Its CPU is slow. The carpet in the back came undone and is impossible to keep under the seat and "running" board. And if you cut the wheel too sharp, tires rub and Stops vehicle.

I'm very pleased with my new Limited. I could tell that I will get great mileage when I looked at the tachometer while cruising at 65 mph on the way to Las Vegas from Kingman and it was running just above 1500 rpm!

one step up. two steps back

While sleeker looking and better gas milage than previous Elantra, you cannot adjust or turn off features you could before. First, the automatic headlights. A second in shade will cause the lights to turn on. In previous models, it would take closer to ten seconds. If after those ten seconds you were out of shadow, the lights did NOT go on. The "Drowsy Driver" warning cannot be turned off. Nothing in the owner's manual explains what conditions set this off.

Great car, odd interior

The 2006 Elantra is a great vehicle for the money with great gas mileage. The biggest issue I have is the center console area has this raised ridge on the passenger side that makes using larger cups with a handle in the cup holder difficult and the cup holder sizes are different.
