Reneged on 24 month free charging

Lease provided 24 months of free charging thru Electrify America. They provided less than 18 months and stopped. Hyundai dealership has been polite and allows me to charge it there at no cost. But, Hyundai corporate won't even call/contact me to rectify the problem.

Love this car!

I adore my Ioniq 6 - so fun to drive, great features, and I love the way it looks. If the battery lasted longer, it would be perfect, but it's fairly limited to being a local commuter car. Not enough range or fast charging ability to do more. But as my home-work-local car, it's just about perfect. BTW, I'm leasing it, so I'm two years in and haven't decided yet if I'll buy or move on just due to battery limitations.

A Good Car Spoiled

Overall quite a good car but the quality isn't up to the level I would expect for a car that costs this much. Four recalls, a heater replacement, broken dash trim (found while replacing the heater) and a recurring rattle somewhere in the cabin. That and the 12 v battery needed replacing in under two years / 20,000 miles. The driver assist features seem to give more false alarms than actual real warnings.

Fun car with annoying software bugs

This vehicle is responsive and fun to drive. Great acceleration and decent handling. The car does have some software issues I wish Hyundai would fix. The parking sensors frequently beep while stopped at red lights. This could be fixed by surpressing the alert when the car hasn't moved in a few seconds. It also flashes the headlights (or complains they aren't on when auto is disabled) every time I drive under an overpass or get in the shadow of a truck. A software delay could fix these issues. I also wish the SEL trim had a power passenger seat. It's embarrassing to show a sophisticated car off to someone and then tell them to manually adjust their seat like a car from the 90s.

A fine vehicle

Generally we are please with our Ioniq 6. We are disappointed that it's trade in value has sunk. We regret not getting a Limited vs and SEL, but the LImiteds are not easily obtained. Fewer are being made. Overall, its a fine car. The trunk opening could be a bit more accommodating and there could be more room in the frunk. Front passenger seat controls are poorly placed.

Great EV and great price point

I have now owned and driven this car for 2 years. I loved it from the first moment I drove the car. At first it was the transition from a mini van to a sedan, plus going from gas to electric. The car has everything I need to feel safe and comfortable while driving. It has an ample front seat and for the car, a nice size back seat. The ride is smooth, the maintenance is low. The instruments for windows and locks are in the center, leaving room on the doors which is nice. It looks great from the outside and I get a lot of compliments on how "cool" the car looks!

In general, I love my car. I do wish it had a windshield wiper on the rear window and window controls on the driver's door instead of on the console. I love that it has a sun roof - which I use. I don't like the "bug screen" as it makes the experience noisy. I would use the sun roof more often if it didn't involve that noise. Every car I've owned has had a sun roof (no bug screens; I'm assuming that what the pop-up thing is).

Happy with our second I6 95% of the time

The I6 is fun to drive and we have had no mechanical issues with it but the software leaves something to be desired as it is not consistent in how it works. We love its body design and the heads up display (we own a '25 now) but the color selection for a $55,000 car is BORING

What a drag

Hit a curb and scratched the battery cover and Hyundai says need a new battery so insurance won’t pay and car is totaled. It took too long to charge it anyway after finding a charging station and then waiting my turn.

Fun car to drive very comfortable, the GPS navigation system is not always accurate (even after updates), after the first two years of free charging with Electrify America it no longer recognizes you and you have to reenter your information.
