Great EV but software needs to improve

I enjoy driving the Ioniq 6. It's roomy, comfortable in ride and has great styling. However, there are several areas that need to be improved. First, the proximity warning is annoying. Whether the car is stationary near or away from other cars, it will randomly beep and show green, yellow or red warning on screen. It happens every time. Dealer said there is nothing they can do. Other brands apparently don't have this kind of problem. Secondly, the over the air software upgrade system serves no purpose. In my three years of ownership, it was only activated about 2 - 3 times to update the entertainment system. I still had to take the car in to have other software updates.

Love this car!

My Hyundai is the neatest looking car ever! Many people mistake it for a Porsche! It is sporty, works great, and really needs no care, except to recharge is about every 2 weeks. Excellent warranty.

Vehicle ride, handling and comfort are great. Some controls could be easier to use- changing fan location, media stations all in one buckets- easier if separated busy am, fm and Sirius , hi/low beam and auto beam confusing at times ( one push, two taps, how goes auto come on/off,..

Car is better than dealership

When I bought my car Hyundai indicated I could continue to charge my car at any Hyundai dealer. This is not the case. Where I get my car service the dealer has not activated the charger. I have asked the service department and they told me the decision was above them.

Reneged on 24 month free charging

Lease provided 24 months of free charging thru Electrify America. They provided less than 18 months and stopped. Hyundai dealership has been polite and allows me to charge it there at no cost. But, Hyundai corporate won't even call/contact me to rectify the problem.

Love this car!

I adore my Ioniq 6 - so fun to drive, great features, and I love the way it looks. If the battery lasted longer, it would be perfect, but it's fairly limited to being a local commuter car. Not enough range or fast charging ability to do more. But as my home-work-local car, it's just about perfect. BTW, I'm leasing it, so I'm two years in and haven't decided yet if I'll buy or move on just due to battery limitations.
