Solid performance and craftsmanship and fun to drive

Well built. It feels very solid. Interior cabin is very quiet. The ride is very responsive with a lot of quick torque and power. The suspension gives a very comfortable ride on slow local roads, however high speed bumpy roads are not so comfortable. Excellent mileage at speeds around 40 mph however faster speeds seem to eat up battery charge with much less efficiency.

The car isn't bad, it has a lot of small things that if you really don't care about them or are attracted enough to more major features you can easily overlook and have a wonderful experience, but if some of the small things are things that you think about, it will likely really annoy you. This car is my daily driver and my only mode of transportation. I drive 2 miles to work 4-6 days a week.

GREAT CAR but too many unnecessary automated features

The Ioniq is a great car: very smooth ride, excellent handling, eye-catching etc. My only complaints are the extra motorized features that are likely to be expensive repairs down the road (trunk does not need to be motorized, plug-in port door definitely does not need to be motorized, etc.), and the interior door hollow openings are hard to clean. Suggestion: Make a much simpler version and sell it for half the price.

Never owned a Hyundai

I was thinking of purchasing an EV. I leased a few Tesla's and a Mustang Mach E...Met an owner at a charging station with a Hyundai Ioniq 5 who raved over his Hyundai...so, I investigated the Hyundai lineup and choose the Hyundai Ioniq 6. Very happy with my first Hyundai and would not trade it for the Tesla or the Mach E.
