In 2 years 12v died twice for no apparent reason Have still not received my NACS adaptor as promised.

After 40,000 miles

Used on average twice per week for trips up to, but not exceeding range limit. Use once on long trip of over eight hundred miles one way, no issues. Range can be an issue in colder weather, but has not failed me so far. Heat of 97 degrees F has resulted in 12 Volt battery failure once, the other two times no temperature relation noted. Quick boost was enough to recover.

Great car! A small but mighty electric car.

We loved our Kona. We had a small space in our garage and we choose this because it was a small car---however we were very happy with the quality and performance in the two years we leased it. We are now starting our 3rd Hyundai electric car lease!

Love it!

The Hyundai Kona EV is a joy to drive. Unfortunately there are not many options in Florida and my car has only the basic interior seat covers, screen, sound system, etc. Nothing luxurious. That said, I truly enjoy the ride and the instant response of driving electric is amazing. I deducted 1 star because the car has a design flaw. Debris can block the HVAC drain line and water will pour into the cabin. This can be easily and inexpensively remedied by blowing out the drain line with an air hose.

Not a good car

The seat doesn’t go back far enough to be comfortable. Not enough under the rear deck storage. Charging this car is a joke as the orange light on the front on the car comes on all the time and you can’t charge the car when it’s on.

Purchased my Kona EV in December 2025 and am so far delighted by the comfortable and quiet ride, well-designed interior, and overall driving experience. The software update process and app user experience could be improved, but overall I’m very pleased with the vehicle.

Very capable little electric

This vehicle has been a great second car in LA. We have a house with solar, so charging is not an issue. It's nimble with a solid road feel and has lots of nice features like lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, various warning sensors, and a map with real-time traffic conditions and route guidance. Cons: the back seat is cramped - do not plan on putting child seats in -- the turn signal clicking is annoying, the horn is a pathetic toot, and on our level 1, 15-amp home charger (the cord that comes with the car) it takes nearly two days from 20% to 90%.
