MY RED KONA

The vehicle is holding up well except for one flat tire and a key fob issue, One morning it wouldn't work but it is fine now.

Hyundai is slipping

I've owned/leased multiple Hyundai models and years of Hyundai vehicles. Leased Elantras and a Venue - owned a Tucson and currently a Kona owner. The quality in Hyundai's products is slipping. I am a retired auto mechanic, 30 years in the business. From the interior trim fit, exterior panels that have uneven seams and tooooooo many trim levels that don't have standardized accessories. The ride in my current 2023 Kona SEL is that of a light duty truck. My Tucson and Kona are the same trim level, SEL< while the Tucson had heated seats, auto climate control, leather wheel and other options no longer included in the Kona's SEL package. Time to standardize and make things simple from Hyundai which will translate into increased sales as well as loyalty to the Hyundai brand. The engines in both the current Venue and Kona are undersized. The Kona cannot maintain cruise control speed when climbing an incline. Crusie set at 65mph reduces to 59 before shifting transmission and tach jumps to 4,000 rpm or higher causing red warning light while on cruise control. 🤬

Very New, Always Breaks

definitely a cute and cozy car, but I bought it brand new and I’ve needed to get multiple parts replaced due to factory error, I’m just glad I got a warranty.

What's Not to Love?

This cute little crossover SUV is a dream come true. It's comfortable to drive or ride in, the safety features work great, the sound system is really good, it holds more cargo than it looks like it would, and it's easy and fun to drive. My Kona helped me rediscover how enjoyable driving can be...at least when you're not driving in rush hour traffic. The only slight negative I could attribute to this vehicle is that the AC doesn't get as icy cold as some other vehicles, which can be a big deal in summer in Texas. Not a dealbreaker by any means, and not even worth it to me to upgrade to a bigger Hyundai SUV that has ventilated seats. Too much in love with my Kona - even after more than 2 years!
