2023 Grey Hyundai Kona

Car was bought brand new in 2023. The only noticeable issue is the two rack mounts on the top of the car have the finish flaking off of them. They have never been used to hold a roof mount, they are just deteriorating.

Good over all, minor issues

Cruise control button broke after the first year and the windshield wipers meet right in my field of vision making it hard to see in rain and snow. I also don't like how it says "service needed" but doesn't tell me what service...how can I make an appointment for service if I don't know what to make the appointment for?

The Kona is the perfect vehicle for my driving needs, is fun to drive.

My Kona meets all my driving needs and evidences the quality of fit and finish Hyundai builds into all their vehicles. From my observation of all the various models of Hyundais I see daily in driving, methinks that there are a very large number of people who highly value their purchase.

Not Satisfied

I've had this car since January 2023 and I have been unhappy with certain aspects. The car is functional but too small for me and I did not realize this until after having the car. The body of this vehicle is not of high quality. The doors are light and flimsy and most of the interior is plastic. I have had issues with the cruise control - it rarely stays on the speed I set it to, always being a couple MPH behind, which is not normal. I constantly have issues with CarPlay connections - when I drove a BMW my car connected instantly with zero issues and that is not the case here - some days it WILL NOT connect. The seats are not comfortable for long drives. It is small and zippy, but that's about it. I have just realized this car is not to my standards and does not have enough features. My passenger seat isn't even electric. I tried a Hyundai and don't think I will repurchase.

Got my Kona even though I was in a bind!

I had to buy my Kona unexpectedly when my Accent abruptly died out of state at ~10 yr mark. Thankfully, HMF was able to provide a loan even though at the time I was paying for a terminal family members medical bills, so money was tight. The interest isn’t terrible but it’s a VERY long loan. I really wanted the bright blue, but ended up with the gunmetal grey as it was the only one they had on site. As my daughter grows, the rear passenger room becomes more obvious. Either way, I’m happy I was able to get THE model I wanted.

Purchased new in 2023. Pleasantly surprised by the handling, the quality of the engine, the gas mileage, and the features provided as standard equipment. Plan to keep this Hyundai for a minimum of 250K miles, much like I have all of my Hyundais!
