Overall a great vehicle

I have eyed the Kona since it came out in 2017. Super cute. This car is fun to drive and it gets great fuel economy. While there are positives and negatives, still an overall good choice. I would recommend this vehicle if you still want SUV but more compact design.

Dependable , Reliable, GOOD Mileage

So far the Kona has provided reliable, comfortable transport. The long extensive warranty makes for comfort of mind when traveling. Easy to use and good clarity on the display panel. A bit noisy on the road but better than most makes and models in its class.

Best vehicle I've ever owned

Runs beautifully, but trunk is very small. I have nothing else to say, but it required 200 characters to submit the review so I am filling the space with this info to fulfill the requirement. It's really a negative aspect of the rating and is annoying.

Good car good value

I had a Tucson for 10 years and it was perfect. A car hit it and totaled it. I looked at Toyota. Heard a lot about how safe they are. The price was quite higher than I could afford. Since I had a Hyundai I decided to go back and looked and found one I liked. So I bought it.

Drives excellently

The financing was easy, sales people were very informative and explained my options as far as getting the best deal available for me. I have not had any problems with my new Kona. The drive is smooth and comfortable.

Good performance and milage. Many features of more experience vehicles. Extremely easy and comfortable to drive. Very good visibility from inside vehicle. All controls and features are easy to operate and understand .

I like that it came with AWD option and with Apple CarPlay. I like all the safety features, the alloy wheels and body styling. The gas mileage is a plus and the smooth ride the Kona provides is phenomenal.

Great dollar value compact SUV

Great dollar value for a compact SUV. Drives well, slow pick to accelerate to the highway. Once on the highway, higher speed can be reached. Heated seats work great. Heat and AC work well. Nice exterior look. Better than many electric cars.

Fun, easy to drive and park

Love my new car because it’s easy to maneuver and fun to drive. I like the styling and color also. My gas mileage has been as good as 40 mpg on the highway. Another thing I have loved is the back up camera.

Great fun to drive affordable vehicle.

This is an easy to get used to vehicle. It rides well and is heavy enough to feel safe in bad weather. The AWD is a great safety feature. The safety features keep the car in the lane when driving and have alarms for distance and staying in lanes. Once you get used to them they are helpful. This is a fun car to drive and is not to big to handle. Easy to park and has tight turn radius.

Good car, terrible dealer

Dealer unethical and used my age and inability to walk very far to take advantage of me. When i complained to corporate HQ, they told me they had no control over dealers fraudulent practices and I had to work it out with them! Experience leaves me with conviction of never leasing/buying another Hyundai.

Great sporty hatchback disguised as a crossover

Overall the 2023 Hyundai Kona SEL is a great car for me as I need the fuel economy that it provides as well as being quick and tighter around corners than expected. It makes for a fun daily driver that I can rely on every day.

I loved this vehicle ... until I didn't

I took my vehicle in for a complimentary oil change and rodent damage was found under the hood. Apparently, this is a known issue, but the dealership was not interested in helping find a resolution. While courts have found that the soy-based elements in the engine compartment don't necessarily attract rodents, they are softer than typical plastic parts and easier to chew (and thus damage). I loved this vehicle until I found out about all of this; now I am stressed and quite upset that the manufacturer hasn't taken any preventative steps.

Overall quality good, was surprised that the horn stop working withing first year and that it was so difficult to locate and fixe. Also gas mileage was not as good as our previous Hyundai Elantra as I expected it would be.

Poor deals hip customer service.

Poor dealership customer service. Still waiting for floor mats that were paid for 6 weeks ago. Once dealer has your money, say goodbye. They are done with you. No calls for updates, nothing. Feels like theft.
