2024 Kona Review

Overall nice starter vehicle, I would not purchase a new redesigned vehicle in the future on the first year of redesign. I bought my vehicle Oct 2023 as a 2024 model and within 6 months I had a recall that started relandom battery drain issues in the vehicle after the recall repair was completed. Also drove the vehicle down almost two years and long trips after about 45 min your back screams to get out of the seat. I suggest making the car a smidge bigger and use better seats vs the slim ergonomic ones your are using currently. Also a Hybrid option is needed and more color options on the interior. I ended up trading for 2025 Tucson Hybrid.

Lease cannot end fast enough.

Very uneventful vehicle. Very small trunk space. Slow to accelerate. At the start of my lease, I was afraid I would go over the yearly mileage, however I am at the start of year three and barely went through my allotted miles for year one.

Fun and enjoyable

Comfortable with plenty of room for it's class. Performance is fine from mid range. Throttle response and torque are merely hopes and dreams even in sport mode. The Veloster N was much more. Perhaps if the AWD had a 2 liter and the same tasteful modifications it would be safer entering fast moving traffic. The only other complaint would be the mpg. 27.6.... if the vehicle had a bit more torque from a bit of displacement I'm sure it would get better mpg. The driver display is very nice could benefit from some tweaking. The interior is Comfortable for me and I'm well over 6 foot.

The car was returned to HMA due to the fact that there was a problem with the car in which for the first year of ownership, the car was in the shop for 45 days and the problem was still not found.

Great car small issues

I love this car I have the Limited BUT the smallest things have made me hate it recently, my battery drained twice from simply unlocking the car, my window cracked out of no where and they would not replace it for me being the car was BRAND NEW. And the app does not work as it should it constantly says the car was left running when it was not. Overall good bang for buck would be nice if there was other interior options and no silver trims

Comfortable and fun to drive.

Superb styling, performance and comfort. I have appreciated Hyundai’s magnificent quality for many years and I couldn’t be more pleased with mine. My only complaint are the driver and passenger front seat seats. I found it not economically comfortable especially on long drives.
