2024 Hyundai Kona

My Hyundai Kona has 25,000 miles on it. I bought it with 500 miles on it. Since I bought my car it has probably been in the shop more than it has been out. It continues to say Shifter malfunction. Sometimes it will pop up while driving and say system malfunction service immediately, and sometimes it pops up and will not let you put it in park when you stop. Three times now it has left me stranded and not allow me to put it in drive. Grubbs of Wichita Falls has worked on it several times. They promised me it was fixed when I told them I was taking it to Nashville, TN. As soon as I got to Nashville it popped the system malfunction up and I spent most of my vacation dealing with this car. Nashville put a new transmission it in, but that didn't fix the problem. I don't trust it to drive anywhere for fear of being told multiple times it is fixed and yet the same problem happens again. At this point I don't think anyone knows how to fix it.

Great car!

Wish the Kona ‘24 was the same size as the Kona ‘22. I had Kona ‘22 and loved it! As a short person, I wish the ‘24 vehicle is a bit smaller. Easier to judge the front end.

REPEATED DEAD BATTERY ISSUES!

Had major issues first 8 months. Hyundai 112 in Medford NY terrible customer service!!! Thereafter had it serviced in Atlantic Hyundai Bayshore NY. Atlantic Hyundai solved all issues in timely courteous knowledgeable manner.

Review of the 2024 Kona

The 2024 Kona is great for the gas mileage, which is the reason I purchased it. The body is sleek and nice looking, however the car can be annoying, always alerting you to take a break, even if you just got into the car, always alerting and trying to stop you for the smallest things (like if someone is turning, and you are still slowly rolling behind it, it freaks out, etc). The button you push on the stearing wheel to speak for GPS is so slow and then 99% of the time never works- always says oops there was a problem, I have to load the map on my phone and then comes up on the screen. But the most annoying thing is I have had this squeak in my brakes for more than half the time I have own the vehicle and Ive had them check it when I have an oil change and they tell me they cant hear it.
