Still loving my Hyundai
My Hyundai is still providing me with exceptional comfort and performance. Highway mileage figures are in the 25 to 26 MPG. Lots of pep accelerating while merging into traffic on the highway and all the camera angles make for ease of parking. I have found one issue, which causes me some concern…recently I experienced that the vehicle can start without the key fob and I drove all the way to my daughter’s home, which is about 45 minutes away. Of course, once I was ready to leave her house, the car would not start as I did not have my key fob with. I can only surmise that when home, my car was in close enough proximity to the key fob ( it was hanging on the hook in my kitchen about 30 feet away) that it was able to start, but that does not explain why I could drive away without the key fob. At any rate, I was able to retrieve my car after going home and retrieving my key fob and returning to my daughter’s home.
I also have a minor issue with a safety warning, which is distracting and annoying…I’m speaking of the message that shows up on the dashboard advising the driver to “consider pulling over and taking a rest.” The message presents itself at the oddest times and there is no way to cancel or stop the message from happening. I think Hyundai could solve this problem with a software update to eliminate the message or at the least allow the operator to program the message off.
