Great multi-purpose vehicle

I love my Santa Cruz. I can use it as a small pick up but still enough room in the cab to bring the family around and great on gas. The features are great too.

Is it a car is it a truck?

The Santa Cruz has a unique design and is an eye catcher. A number of people have commented its appearance. Its rides is a comfortable balance between a SUV and a Truck and it functions well as a second vehicle. It seems to be well built and is quite capable of pulling a small trailer. I have found it serves well for my needs including the capacity of payload. I have used it to help move, to haul lawn waste, building materials including 23 sheets of plywood ( probable a little much but it handled it ). After market items are readily available including trailer hitch and colorful decals to highlight tailgate. I have three or four things that need to be addressed in newer models. 1. getting in and out of drivers seat can be difficult because of how low roof support is. Some of this problem can be eliminated by lowering seat but this something of a pain if you have to get in and out frequently. 2. I find fuel milage to be disappointing. I get an average of 22 MPG, compared to a Ford F150 that gets 24 MPG it seems this truck could do better. 3. The transmtion has also been a disappointment. Our other vehicle (a SUV of comparable size) has a CVT transmition that is almost unnoticeable on steep hills or in the mountains. In addition the SUV gets an average of 30 MPG . 4. lastly getting in and out of back seat is also difficult

it’s an average vehicle

you can not put a bicycle in the back of it, the back seat is no good to cramp if you have people that are tall just an average vehicle, I will not buy another one as soon as I can get rid of this one

Overall, very pleased with my Santa Cruz. Two small complaints- the infotainment system isn’t very user friendly. And the windshield wipers can’t be raised up to remove ice during winter weather

My 2024 Santa Cruz Limited handles well with good acceleration and the interior is superb but the touch triggered door locking is finicky and slow.

Good vehicle

I like the way the santa cruz drives. The feel is nice; more like a car. I love the look of the vehicle. The gas mileage is a bit of a turn off. Other brands with similar vehicles have better gas mileage. The bed is good but the cover gets in the way and limits the space even more. I love the cover, but it takes up space.

I made the right choice

I needed to replace my old Ford Ranger and was not interested in the current offering of "small" trucks that were being offered by Ford, Chevy, Toyota or Nissan. I wanted a truck that was light, nimble, economical and could do the work of a truck when I needed it. I narrowed my choices down to the Santa Cruz and the Maverick. But the Santa Cruz beat the Ford in every metric that I was interested in and was a better looking vehicle too.

I love my Hyundai Santa Cruz!!

The Hyundai Santa Cruz is so comfortable and easy to get in and out of. I am 75 and have mobility issues. I also love the heated passenger seat bc it alleviates my back pain. I can go on long trips and actually enjoy them. The Santa Cruz is the sixth Hyundai I have owned. Hyundais are inexpensive compared to competitors. Great gas mileage. Low maintenance. My truck is so cute - snazzy!

I like the style and comfort of this truck however at 8000 miles transmission had to be replaced. Kept getting a warning light that the mechanics couldn’t find a diagnostic code for and when the car was shut off it reset.

So far only have 7500 miles bought it new it is fun to drive and like the design of the small truck,like the coooler in the bed of the truck put ice in it and but your drinks and snacks ,sandwich that is nice on long trips
