My 2024 Blue

Only issue we had was the air vents not closing properly. On hot days the hot outside air would come in and in the winter the cold air would come in. The vents were closed, but would automatically turn off and then I would notice the outside air flowing in. As per the dealship and Hyundai Corporate this issue had not been reported by any other consumers. Blue was bought back by Corporate due to the Texas Lemmon Law, it sat in the shop for over 3 months after finally getting a 2025 part off the production line in Korea. Problem not resolved 100% and Hyundai did not know or disclose if this was an isolated issue or if other consumers had the same issue.

Transmission issues

The transmission and transaxle union both went out at 30k miles. I was driving across Texas and my transmission stuttered and the check engine light came on at 34k miles after having it replaced.

I like it!

Perfect for me. It’s a car/truck. If Subaru still made a Brat, I’d have gone for that, being a long term Subaru driver. I am a professional gardener and need that open bed for many reasons. It’s litle, but it suits my needs beautifully. I get 28-30mpg all the time, better than advertised.

On A Cruz

This may be the most absolute complete package vehicle I have owned in my life. Zero complaints. Comfortable, good gas mileage, fun to drive, sporty design, great in the snow, get a lot of compliments and it fits in my garage. What more do you want?

Transmission/electrical

Just like my previous 2024 Santa Cruz this one is having the exact problems with the transmission. It was in the shop for 8 weeks so I bought another one hoping to get away from that issue. The one I have now is doing the same thing plus I'm having so kinds of electrical problems.... Windows rolling down unexpectedly, even when the car has been turned off for hours. It did it one time overnight in pouring rain and the next morning the truck was soaked on the inside. Other things like not starting and locking/unlocking of the truck are common.

CPO 2024 Santa Cruz Limited was a great decision to buy!

I bought my 2024 Santa Cruz used with about 19K miles on it. I traveled from Orlando to Hyundai of Venice to purchase it since it was a certified pre-owned (CPO). I like everything about it except that the sliding rear window is not powered and I can't reach it from the driver's seat. One other option I miss it that there is no CD player. I am old school and prefer one. Other than that, I like everything else about it. I enjoy all the safety features, its power, acceleration, comfort, gas mileage, etc. It was a great choice for downsizing from my previous truck, an AWD Honda Ridgeline. The Honda was more spacious, had a larger bed and more ground clearance but lacked the acceleration even though it was a 6 cylinder. The gas mileage was also poor. My 2.5 L turbo Santa Cruz has much more get up and go!

2024 Santa Cruz XRT review

This is a great vehicle for my use. It is comfortable, quiet, with plenty of power. The bed is useful and conveniently locks for security. The turbocharged four cylinder engine is economical and quick.
