Good responsive little vehicle. Poor visibility from inside review mirror. Cabin does not have convenient storage for cups, maps and folders. Control button icons are difficult to understand. Not enough separation between accelerator and brake pedals.

Interesting but can be improved

I like the overall design of this vehicle. It fits my personal lifestyle. I use this vehicle for day-to-day commuting to work and to haul my recreational and home-improvement equipment over the weekends. However, this small truck's transmission was replaced in my first year of ownership. I blew a tire, and the engine cover under the chassis fell off. I feel this truck is not as robust as it should be. The transmission replacement is under warranty, but driving back and forth to the dealership is not fun. Some designs can be improved. For example, it does not have a towing hook in the front. I heard that the 2025 model has installed a front hook. The dashboard electronic does not include a wireless CarPlay. It is almost a must-have in a modern vehicle. Overall, I like my Santa Cruz.
