Decent little car/truck

Pretty decent little car. I like the fact that has some minimum truck capability for hauling, and some light towing capability. Fuel economy really goes downhill fast when towing a trailer around 2500 lb. I do wish for winter driving that the traction and stability control system can be shut completely off- but other than that it seems to do okay

I like the Santa Cruz and how it handles. Three rating reflexs my dispute with the warranty dealing under carrige cover which broke off at the retaining bolt.

Love everything about the vehicle except the cover lets in so much dust and dirt! Anything we put in there, we have to put in trash bags first so they stay clean!!!

Love it, but reliability horror stories make me uneasy

I love everything about my Santa Cruz. The only thing that does not inspire confidence is the acceleration and transmission which just doesn’t feel very smooth or like it’s choosing to shift at the right time, compared to other vehicles I have owned. There are a lot of horror stories on the internet about the transmission or fuel injectors breaking as early as 15k, and then breaking multiple times again even after replacement. I would feel more confident if Hyundai would just do a proper recall.

2024 Dante Cruz

The car handles and rides great. The controls and safety feature work wonderful. The design is better than any other small truck . Downside I question the reliability of the vehicle. At 2500 miles ( 2500 ) the transmission went out. I loss my confidence to take the car on a long trip. The last I want is to be stranded on the side of a interstate for hours.

2024 Santa Cruz

Over all I love this vehicle. My wife and I took it on a 3800 mile road trip and got 30 miles pre gallon. (wow) There was some wind noise over 70 miles in hour but my dealer tells me it's from my roof rack. 😏 The cruse control is kind of sloppy, and the cab can be kind of load at times, but truly I use this vehicle all the time for hauling and towing. does great.
