Review of Santa Cruz
The Santa Cruz has proven to be the best match for everything I was looking for. It has a comfortable ride with excellent mileage when I take it easy and it also responds with power or quick acceleration when I want it. It has a nice sporty look along with it's quick response. The smaller bed actually works better for me than my former F150 because I can reach everything in the bed with a shovel without having to get onto the bed. And when I do have to get onto the bed the side steps built into the bumper are much appreciated and again much easier to climb up on than the F150. I have found I'm still able to haul long lumber with the tail gate down and a flag on the end. I'm also planning to purchase some racks to add some flexibility on hauling some longer things. I have also used it to haul my pontoon boat and found it to have excellent pulling capacity and smooth ride even with the trailer. I am not found of the locking mechanism. Most of the time when I place my hand on the handle, it doesn't lock the car right away. I wish I could just hit the lock button on the door after I have the door open and the car would lock.
