Great truck with 3 small issues

3 things I don’t like: 1) you can’t lock it without the key fob or phone. 2) there’s no space to put anything 3) the WORST thing: that ridiculous shadow in the head lights. WHY???

Hyundai quirks

i think the cover on this vehicle should be motorized instead of a pull strap, the touch screen needs to be mote sensitive. door locks need to lock when waling away from vehicle, might be without this feature on this vehicle,

Needs improvements

Biggest problem is turning on wipers and lights when turning the steering wheel, the handles are too close to back of steering wheel.

Worst driving vehicle I’ve ever owned

The driving experience in this Santa Cruz is the worst I've ever experienced. The driver assist features are constantly trying to send you into on coming traffic or in the ditch. On top of that the fuel mileage is terrible for a vehicle of this size. My Ram with a V8 and 500hp got the same fuel mileage.

Love our Santa Cruz

The only thing that would make this vehicle better is fold down rear seat backs to allow access to the cargo area. Other than that this Santa Cruz is the absolute best vehicle leather we have ever owned.

Nice alternative to a full-sized pickup

I have enjoyed my Santa Cruz for 1 yr. It fits in my garage with my wife's car much better than my F-150. I can still haul things and it has a lot of nice safety features. It's a unique vehicle that fits a normal sized driver. It's not ideal for more than 2-3 people. I would have bought BEV if I had the option to get one.

Traded it in

Wasn’t happy with the DCT transmission and potential issues and then Hyundai announced no DCT for 2026. Was going to trade it in for a non DCT Santa Cruz but decided I missed having a truck. Traded it in on a new Tacoma with six foot bed.
