Electrical issue renders vehicle extremely dangerous
I initially loved my Santa Cruz. I have owned a Hyundai before and never had a problem with it. My immediate family have owned at least ten Hyundais in the past 25 years.
However, after owning this Santa Cruz for just over one year, I began experiencing a serious electrical problem. I’ve now taken it to two different dealership service departments for a total of NINE WEEKS of lost usage, and they are unable to fix it. Engine, transmission, radiator, everything works fine mechanically. It’s an electrical problem involving the CAN bus that techs cannot properly diagnose and repair that has resulted in my deep dissatisfaction with the vehicle.
I bought a new vehicle for the reliability and warranty, especially since I live in a remote area with few resources. Now it seems I’ve been stuck with an extremely unreliable vehicle that can’t be diagnosed to even be repaired under the warranty. I wish I’d never bought it and I warn people against Hyundais now.
