Great little truck

Nice and comfortable, and quite capable. No it doesn't look like a boxy truck, but it doesn't drive like one either. Drives really smooth. Really quiet and nice ride with 5000 Lb towing capacity. Easy to load at waist height. Mine averages 27 MPG, with plenty of torque and HP with the turbo engine. I love it.

Great fun

We love this car/truck (cruck?). Don't need a full-size pickup anymore, so this is just enough for us. Great for hauling trash instead of stinking up the Subaru, and for things that are either two long or tall for that car. Love all of the dash features. Probably the best laid out of any car we looked at.

Change or delete the Coffee Reminder

If there is one thing about this vehicle that makes me want to return it, it's that &%$#?@ alert telling me "Consider takeing a break." Technology should not be telling me that when I move to the left lane for stopped or emergency vehicles. Or, when I swerve to avoid an obstacle in my lane. Or, when I move closer to the shoulder when an oversize truck is hauling farm machinery. Please. Get rid of it!

Would not recommend

Feels cheaply made. The exposed wires in the back when lifting up the seat is a major hazard. What’s the sense of being able to lift the seats when you are not able to safely use the space? Not being able to open doors when car is running is a disaster and inconvenient. Vehicle automatically breaks unnecessarily when on a slight hill. Bed is too high for shorter people. Hot air coming through the front vents cannot be closed off due to the heat it’s picking up from the engine. Being unable to open the bed when car is running is also a major inconvenience. I would not recommend this vehicle.

Two and a half months in and I really enjoy driving my Santa Cruz.

I have driven my new vehicle from state to state at least three times. It handles exceptionally and rides enough like a truck with the level of comfort that I imagined it would. I gave up my luxury SUV for my Santa Cruz.

Overall quite happy. Car is only 1 1/2 years old though.

Electrical things started to go wonky after factory recommended recall update, due to overly sensitive front camera software causing "phantom braking". This feature used to work and now it doesn't.

Best of both worlds

I use to own a 2018 Toyota Tundra 1794 Crew Max which I thought had all space and the latest technology. It had a 10000 lb towing capacity which frankly I never used. I had lots of space inside the vehicle but again never used it to its full capacity. Finally my gasoline bill was atrocious only getting about 16-18 MPG’s on a good day. It cost me $75 to fill it up and that would last a week. I needed a smaller vehicle that had all the features of the Tundra but wasn’t as big. Thats when I decided to test drive the Hyundai 2025 Limited Santa Cruz. This is the most versatile and technologically smartest vehicle I have ever driven. It gives you a fantastic combination of truck type features and car like drivability.. I can pull my 4000 lb boat with trailer in and out of the water with ease. The bed is very functional. I have a class 3 hitch so if whatever I need to haul is too big to fit in it I attach my small trailer and get the job done. The leather in interior is first class along with the leg room for the driver and passenger. The rear seats would be a bit cramp for someone 6feet or taller but I’m 5’ 8” tall so no issues. I’m a retired Soldier and me and my wife are empty nesters so it is the perfect size. Love everything about it. Best decision I have ever made.
