An ok car but has issues

Definitely they have issues with the transmission. If you have to hit the pedal hard the engine revs so much its like you are redlining it. Very disturbing

Santa Cruz does so many things well

It is like a Pick-up Car. Not too much of a truck. It is so driveable, like most other vehicles. The 2 things that could be improved on are 1) the little orange crash indicator lights are quite (too much) sensitive. When the roads are wet, any snow, or sun is a little low on the horizon the cameras get confused and turn the light on. 2) the rear vision is surprisingly not good. Between the tailgate and small back window will make you depend on the rear vision camera and side/door mirrors for primary information while backing. I put a rack on the bed (to carry up to 3 bikes), have driven it cross country and back, and have a small travel trailer. It has handled this excellently. You can't go wrong with it as a daily driver or recreation supporter. My all around mileage is about 26 mpg ... not bad and not the best, but good enough.

2025 Santa Cruz

Everything is fine on the vehicle except when I ran the first update none it the bluelink functions would work until a dealer reset was done by request during an oil change visit. Now I refuse to run an update.

Lady Truck

This truck offers the best of all worlds. It has the versatility of a truck but rides like an SUV. For me at this time of my life, it's near perfect.

Great vehicle to own

Love the look and drive of the vehicle. A little less on gas milage, but understand due to AWD and size.

What I wanted to!

The Santa Cruz drives like a car and has the ability to do small truck stuff. Really appreciate the towing capability. Technology level is right level as is the finish. I would not want it at a higher finish as that would take away the utility and robustness. I currently own a Santa Cruz 2023 on Maui and a 2025 here in Florida. Perfect for loading my racing canoes, not too high and with the after market racks is super sturdy.

Santa Baby

I still smile every time I’m heading out of the house to get in my Santa Cruz and head out somewhere. I love the way it looks and drives. Someone once teased me that I had a toy truck. I told him that I was 77 years old and my toy truck is working perfectly fine for me.

Santa Cruz Review 2026

Great trucklet but missing basics like external sensors versus just cameras. The engine lacks initial startup power from a stop, almost cuts out and dealer said that is how it’s designed. There are a lot of pluses such as great gas mileage but would be nice if there were an all electric version. front facing cameras are standard for most cars. The Santa Cruz should could with standard forward cameras.

A Well Built, Durable, & Stylish Pickup

I have the XRT model with many safety features that I find valuable, especially when driving on I-95 in South Florida. For me the nimble size of the vehicle is great for parking, the AWD assists in heavy rains (not just for snow), the dash is well laid out and innovative, the seats are comfortable, and the cabin is spacious. It does not have the biggest cargo bed, but for my needs, it works great. The engine's horsepower provides plenty of HP as far as I am concerned. For the money, I believe it beats out the competitor's small pickups. Which IIs why I don't understand why it doesn't have better numbers in sales and why they're discontinuing the Santa Cruz. Such a shame.

My santa cruz

I'm a girl and have wanted this cute little vehicle since the day it was on the market. I was lucky to get it in Canyon Red, and it's the only one i've seen on the road. Gets a lot of compliments.
