THe new plug-in hybrid Santa Fe exceeded expectations

The 2022 plug-in hybrid Santa Fe met and exceeded ALL of our expectations in both a new vehicle and as a hybrid with fantastic fuel milage. The current combined fuel mileage has been exceeding 70 mpg and around town we ONLY use electric thereby our 1st fuel fill up was over 3 weeks.

Best Plug-in for your Money

SUV is great, mileage is excellent, it took many months to finally find one. Unable to get interior color I wanted Beige. Price was sticker Price, not a penny above it. Other dealers were asking 5000 to 10000 above sticker price. Dealers in NYC are thieves, specially Brooklyn Dealers.

115 mpg easy in first month!

Perfect commuter! If you work within 15 miles or within 30 miles and have access to a charger at work, this vehicle is just average over 100 mpgs easy! The ability to use the Bluelink app to start car (from anywhere) is a must have for Hot Summers. Great Dog car, mine gets so comfy he refuses to get out.

A solid hybrid

Hybrids and electrics are the future. We wanted our family to be well ahead of the curve when it came to being far less of a threat to the environment in all the way that a traditional vehicle can. And though my wife was reluctant to go full electric she did find the Hyundai Santa Fe attractive. After the test drive she was hooked. It’s attractive, functional, and affordable. It has a great deal of amenities that check the mark for our family; Plug In Hybrid Technology, FUEL ECONOMY!, All Wheel Drive, safety driving package, spacious interior, generous cargo area with gold flat second row. The ride is smooth and the lane keep assist and driving is a plus in tedious drives. The media package along with Apple car play is what caused my wife to pick this over the Sienna. The overall quality of the car is high end even in the “Convenience Package”. Over I believe it’s a really good vehicle for the price and we also get up to $7K back in the form of a tax rebate. We will surely be purchasing full electric with our next vehicle.

Amazing ride and Style

Absolutely love my PHeV. Fully loaded limited trim has great features, smooth ride and best economical ride in city. I charge using normal 120 V outlet in my garage for my average 10 mile daily ride.

Very good vehicle with minor functionality issues.

Good vehicle compared to other available ones but have problems with some features like wireless charging and few features are missing for the price point such as heads up display. Can improve the quality of floor carpets, not able to fully clean them.

Mechanically Great. Software could be better.

Great combination of drive train and comfort. PHEV delivers on efficiency claims and in the US with tax incentives was a no brainer and the primary reason that option was selected (PHEV option was basically free). Software to control everything could be improved and hopefully will be.

Fantastic Buy

This is an amazing choice for growing families looking for a fuel efficient and safe SUV with all the luxury and tech often found in much higher priced offerings. The safety features such as panoramic and blind spot cameras (usually found only at top trim levels 70K and up) are found here, which for me was a huge selling point. The Santa Fe PEH is comfortable, fun to drive, and (and ill say it again) very safe for both adults and kids, with lots of features to assist.

Santa Fe PHEV

After much deliberation in this crazy car buying market I settled on getting the Santa Fe PHEV. Finding the car and color combination and features I wanted was made easy by using the Hyundai website. After speaking to several dealerships I was able to put down a refundable deposit on the car I wanted from a dealership 230 miles from home (my state doesn’t sell the PHEV) the anticipation of getting my new car was the hardest part. I waited around 5 weeks from deposit to delivery. The car exceeds my expectations and having the ability to save on gas while driving such a stylish car is something I really appreciate. My car comfortably fits 4 adults and the 5th spot would easily fit a small adult or child. The trunk space is ample for the size of the car. Overall I love my car and are very happy with my purchase.

Very noisy vehicle

I had high hopes and expectations for the new Hyundai Santa fe plug-in hybrid but unfortunately I can't say I'm happy with my purchase. The vehicle is great and everything but the engine and breaks are very noisy when driving, only when driving.

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase but would have liked the battery-only range to be at least 50 miles and charging time to be faster. In addition, some features, like Auto Hold, should have the option to remain unchanged until changed again; currently, they require selecting each time car starts.

Excellent and efficient SUV if you can plug in daily

Really enjoying the Santa Fe PHEV. I would say just make sure you can charge it somewhere daily to really enjoy the full benefits of the PHEV. The interior really is a joy to be in and when you close the doors you shut out the world. Very quiet interior. Great MPG for such a large vehicle even when you can’t plug it in.
