Hyundai Surprise

I am so surprised with the economical performance of my plug in hybrid. I had to purchase this vehicle quickly as my previous Santa Fe was too well worn. I wasn't sure about hybrids in general. I am the perfect consumer for this vehicle as I travel 10 miles each way to work every day. I usually go to the gas station once a month. My MPG over the past 8 months is over 50!!

Sub-par

Expected a way more luxurious experience when I purchased the car especially for all the features listed and price it was sold at. The bulk quality also disappointed with creaking noises and plastic on the inside. There is also the problem of acceleration and deceleration where neither is smooth.

Love my PHEV which is the best of both worlds. Can do routine daily short trips on battery (<30 miles) and longer trips with gasoline (Hybrid).

Fuel Efficient

The car is very economical. We regularly charge it. The car is what you'd expect in this range cheap plastic and cloth seats. Windscreen cracked from the cold the first time we took it to the snow. This has never happened on any previous vehicle. Ford Escape, BMW X5 & X1, Volvo XC90

Would have been a great car if a recall would have been done.

I loved my car even with the issues from day one that ultimately lead to being deemed unrepairable. As the last thing that was done is replacing the trailer harness that I was originally told my vehicle didn’t have and at that point, so much damage had been done it was still not repaired.

Beacon Falls Fan

For the most part I really like the vehicle and the fuel milage is terrific (50mil/gal averaging), however would really like a larger battery that travels longer than 29 miles, should be 30, the batter never fully charges to 100%. I guess that is why the plug-in version of EV vehicle has been discontinued.

Should have the following, 1.) where the charge port is there should be an inside led light to make hook up easier. 2.) on rear hatch should also be a button to lock the vehicle as on the 2024 has.
