Nice features, average power

The Santa Fe comes very well equipped. Lots of safety and tech features are included without having to take the highest trim level. A couple things that can be improved are cup holder amount and design. Another one is poor power from the 4 cylinder engine. Often times I struggle to accelerate enough to when needed. Lastly, there is a lot to be desired with the tires. Wear and performance has been subpar.

Rolls back

The car rolls back when changing from park or braking. Really sketchy in parking lots. Doesn’t need to be on a hill to roll.

Good things in a small package.

This is an excellent mid-sized sport-U. The handling and acceleration are surprisingly quick and the cargo room is exceptional for its size. Very comfortable all around.

Close but not great

Overall good car. Problem is the whole center console, climate control, entertainment system thing. Way too many buttons that take up way too much space. Theres a storage compartment underneath that’s absolutely useless because you can’t see anything in there. The wireless charging thing is dumb because it’s a slot so stuff can get down in there that you don’t want and you can’t see your phone screen while it’s charging. And because of the lack of storage you end up needing to put stuff there. Really really poor design on the whole thing. The car is otherwise fun to drive quite relatively efficient. Comfortable. Good backseat space and cargo space. I just hated driving it because of the entire center piece. I am unable to ever purchase a Hyundai again because of my bad experience turning in my lease at Wallace Hyundai. Thomas and Amir are the sales managers. They refused to provide me a vehicle return receipt. I called Hyundai finance to confirm the return process and the call was recorded. HMF asked me to ask Wallace Hyundai why they would not provide the vehicle return receipt, Amir became upset. They threw the keys back at me and told me to take the car back. I had to go find another Hyundai dealership to accept the standard lease return. Because of that experience at Wallace Hyundai I cannot do business with Hyundai.

Great value

This is the 5th Hyundai vehicle we have owned. They are great investments. I was t-boned while in one; unhurt while the vehicle was totaled, the repair shop told me, its airbag system probably saved my life.

My present Santa Fe is my fifth. I absolutely love the vehicle. It is roomy, comfortable and dependable. I’ve had no mechanical problems with any of mine. The cargo space is generous.

Quiet, comfortable, powerful.(T2.5)

Happy with the purchase. A dealership loaner w/5K mi, so got a very good price for a Limited w/almost all options.. Had a 2017 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T. Was trying to find a hybrid, but happy to take the extra power over better gas milage. Am glad that the most used functions are still buttons instead of being moved to the touchscreen. Don't know how that can work, when only the passenger can operate it while driving. The dual clutch tranny is different, but outside of a couple things to be aware of, different in a good way. I just really like driving this vehicle. The only thing that is better on the old Santa Fe is the door unlock/lock toggle on the outside of the handle. I've had to use the key fob on multiple occasions to unlock the new one, or have had to put things I was carrying down so that I could get my whole hand inside the door handle. I complaint not worth worrying about.
