Great, but endless transmission issues

Could be one of my favorite vehicles i have ever owned! I love how it drives, the engine is sufficient, it's comfortable and the perfect size for a family of 4. The only issue is since week 1 it has had endless transmission problems that keep resurfacing after every time it gets "fixed".

Constant check engine light

We have leased a Santa Fe since we grew our family. with that being said If you have small children that need a rear facing seat know that it will be a tight squeeze. We need access every day to the third row so the only spot the seat will fit is behind the drivers seat. There is not enough room as a driver to adjust your seat. Also we have had the same diagnostic code show up 8 times since October. We’ve taken it to the dealer with no permanent solution yet

Unreliable

This is the most unreliable, untrustworthy car I have ever owned. Multiple issues, trips to dealer. Loss of use for weeks and zero acknowledgement from Hyundai of the problems.

Somewhat disappointed

I should have known better than to buy a new model year vehicle. I am not happy with the ongoing, documented issue of a clunk noise coming form the engine upon start-up and the fact that Hyundai can not explain this but can only state that it is normal operation. And no matter how many times I report that I experience this happening, although two people in service have heard it, and recorded it on video, the Techs never seem to be able to duplicate the problem. I was very dissatisfied during the first year of ownership with the technological problems I was having with the digital keys, although that has seems to be resolved. I inquired about a lemon law claim for this problem when I was well within the time and mileage criterion, but because Hyundai dragged out the service diagnostic for so long, when I finally did attempt to file a lemon law claim I was outside of the guidelines. I don't like that I read many accounts of transmission problems with the 2024 model. Mine is a 2024. I have zero confidence in the vehicle and feel I am taking a chance every time I go for a long distance drive. I feel I should keep it until my warranty is about to lapse, then sell it and go to a different brand.

Over one year with santa fe and it is a great vehicle, one of the most practical and well thought out vehicles. Lifetime mpg 23.3 on a awd 2inch factory lift 5000lb vehicle, incredible, love it.

The Santa Fe is a well designed car but I encountered issues with the transmission. Also handling was a little loose with too much play in steering wheel. I no longer own the car, I now drive a 2026 Palisade
