Too many issues

Problem after problem less than a year old first one I bought had a transmission failure bought the newer one and it has fuel injector issues keeps breaking down leaving me on side of road with babies in car stranded also has other recalls just not put together well at all and totally regret purchase

Hyundai Sante Fe 2025

Great vehicle, love the color and I get lots of compliments on it. Two comments - the "stay in neutral" shift process shifts to Park far too quickly. It's a royal pain EVERY time I go to the car wash. Driver's seat shifts to drive position even when I'm not in the seat which means every time I get into the vehicle to grab something from the console the seat shifts back and then forward again - which seems like a lot of wear on that mechanism. It would make more sense to leave it in the back position if no one is in the driver's seat.

Much less than expected

The scariest aspect of the vehicle is that it has stalled out of acceleration on 3 separate occasions and accelerated unexpectedly on one. All four situations could have caused accidents in other traffic patterns. In addition, the inconvenience of having to take off your gloves and stand in the cold to simply lock the doors is unacceptable in a 2025 vehicle. The other issue I have a problem with is the fact that the driver attention camera on the steering column prevents the driver from wearing polarized sun glasses. Again, i find this feature unacceptable.

Poor customer support

Transmission failed just before 8,000 miles. Hyundai customer support did nothing to assist with a rental car. Vehicle maintenance dealer provided a low budget loaner car, but advised that I could not travel across state lines. i needed a rental car but Hyundai did not provide.

Very Happy So Far

Overall a great vehicle. Very comfortable with a smooth ride. The XRT package has the right amount of accessories. This was a new purchase after owning a 2013 Toyota Highlander. The 2025 Santa Fe is a big improvement in almost every category. It has so many modern conveniences, which were a bit overwhelming at first. I looked at the 2025 Highlander, but would have paid $10,000 more for a similar vehicle with comparable features. Everything from the overall styling of the exterior and interior makes it a great vehicle to look at and drive.

FAW system problem

Love the vehicle but the FAW system needs a "manual disable" option, accident hazard. System comes on for no reason (especially when wearing glasses). Doing 75mph on highway system activated applying brakes slowing down vehicle nearly causing accident. Research should have done on this idiotic feature.

Poorly designed

So many things poorly designed-move the shift paddles out of the way; shelf above glove box is too short and not deep enough to be useful; buttons should be consistent-either have a light by the button OR display on instrument panel but don't mix the methods; move device charging pads that take up useful space but overheat iPhones; defrost should clear the lane monitoring camera; remove reflective trim everywhere that glares in the sun; make the bottom of the door storage spaces flat and make them deeper so things don't fall out when you open the door; put two trays in the center console because it is too deep to be useful; rearrange the buttons so that the ones you use the most are closest to driver; use better colors-anything red or orange should be used only for engine problems, not for the coffee cup or rear seatbelt warning; cruise control button and dial are too confusing; motor fan runs to cool the engine-after driving four miles in 63 degree weather; turning off the Auto-Stop should be a permanent setting rather than having to do it every time you start the car; fuel and temperature lights are nearly the same for how much fuel is left and how much you have used-needs to be more contrast; and the inside ventilation fan runs even if you are in the high desert where the humidity is 10 percent; the key fob is an abomination; and the owner's manual was translated by a non-english-as-a-first language person. We have turned off as many features as we can find and there are still too many things dinging and blinking, and the reason disappears before you can figure out what it was. All of that is DISTRACTING!!

Great Vehicle with a few fixable, minor annoyances.

The doors do not automatically unlock using the thumb print on the door handle. I have to take the key out every time. It worked for a few weeks when I first got the car, but hasn't since. The Hyundai service center's customer service in New Rochelle is pretty bad. Otherwise, the Santa Fe is a great vehicle.
