Mediocre SUV with frustrating technology

We were very excited about this vehicle purchase in October 2024. It soon turned into a “meh… it’s ok.” The technology behind the safety cruise control and vehicle detection is a death sentence. When it cannot see your eyes, which is 80% of the time (sunglasses, looking in the side mirrors to turn or change lanes) it completely turns off the cruise control. VERY dangerous in certain situations on the interstate. This has to be one of the biggest complaints and the reason for the three stars. On top of that, we have a rattle in the door frame between the passenger seat and the back passenger side door. Getting service is like buying a lotto ticket and ridiculously overpriced. I could go on and on, but the vehicle already causes me enough anxiety that I don’t want to spend any more time here writing about it’s failures.

Decent price nowadays

So far things are looking ok at 9k miles with some slight vibration at idle slow movement from the DCT. Occasionally the seat warmer buttons don't work. City MPG seems really bad, 12 mpg around town. If I drive slow and far on the HWY I am seeing up to 28mpg.

No trailer connection.

We like the SUV but i will say i'm piss off about the fact they didnt put the wiring in for a trailer connection which mean i can't pull my Handicap scooter trailer and for that reason i won't buy another.

I have had no issues with the car so far. I do wish it had more color options for the speedometer. Otherwise it's got full comfort for the front and backseat. I love it and my daughter loves it!

Santa Fe review

The Santa Fe has good and bad features. Pros: Style Comfort Spacious Fuel economy 10 year Warranty 3 year free maintenance Conns: Handling: 1.Suspension is weak and picks up every defect on the road. You have to hold the steering wheel pretty tight to keep it in the middle of the lane. I took it to the dealer and was told it was road conditions. I never felt this with my Sierra. Acceleration: The initial take off and the first 2 gears are very sluggish and feels horrible when the transmission is shifting. Safety features: I had to basically disable all safety features because it was causing hazards instead. The lane assist kept pulling me to other lanes and the SUV kept braking on its own when a car got near.
