Love This SUV

This is our second Santa Fe and the first of the redesign. Love the current model. Purchased the Calligraphy level and it was well worth the money. Couldn't ask for much more, unless I splurged on the all-wheel drive. We live in an area where it would have been useful, but not disappointed in the model we have. Drives and rides smooth. Maintenance and minor repairs at the dealership have been phenomenal. if you like road trips, this is an excellent choice for room and cargo space. Love it.

Overall it has been a good car so far. The only complaint I have is that when I first put it in drive it will roll backwards unless I hit the gas. This can be kind of dangerous in a drive-through or what I’m at a stoplight or stop sign.

Love my vehicle

I really enjoy my Hyundai Sante Fe. It has given me the room I needed. Comparing to other similar vehicles in the industry, I selected Hyundai because it has great reviews and is tens of thousands lower in price. How any vehicles can cost near 100k is beyond me. I really love it.

Santa FE review

First months were good. The acceleration and breaking.aren’t not that great. I never had a vehicle with so many recalls. I had 3 recalls already. Then 1 time my vehicle was just dead took to the dealer and couldn’t find no problem.

Expected more.

The model is attractive and stylish. I have a Limited because I wanted the continuous back seat vs bucket seats. I still get leather but not Napa leather (downside) and I don’t get heads-up display (downside). I like the caramel/tan interior color a lot. After a year, the rear seat would not slide forward and I’d stick. I’m still waiting to get it fixed as there are recalls with backordered part. I was vacationing out of the country when my part came in so they gave it away and I had to reorder and await back-order AGAIN. Also the vehicle has developed a stink. It’s like cat pee. I’ve tried various means to eliminate it. I think I’m there. Aldo the service department (South Austin) is ugly, small, dirty, torn up and dismal. Next time, maybe soon, I’m getting another Toyota (new highlander) instead. The interior feels a bit cheap. The black parts scratch easily. Overall I like the functionality and layout and design and colors, it’s just the cheapness inside, the sticking back seat, the lousy service waiting area, and the fact that Limited limits my leather quality and heads up display that makes me want to unload and not get another Hyundai.

Missing some common accessories

It is an overall comfortable ride. The safety sensors are over the top and distracting. The info screen isn’t that user friendly at all. And it’s frustrating that it doesn’t have seat position memory in the upgraded package. Maintenance is very costly if done at the dealership. Probably would not buy this vehicle again. Somewhat overpriced for the value received.

2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy

I purchased this vehicle after owning a 2024 BMW X6 in an effort to maintain some of the same luxary features but decreasing the ownership cost. It does have some od the same features but the motor is excessively loud and the power doesn't match that of the X6. I think the sanitizer compartment is a waste of a feature. You can store stuff in there but why not utilize a passenger touch screen like other high end vehicles? Also the rear cooling system/vents leave a lot to be desired.
