Less impressed than older models

The 2025 hyundai santa fe seems to be terrible in the snow compared to the 2023 santa fe. Even in nsow mode and with locking the axel. The 2025also seems to have issues with the sensors prohibiting the crash warning sensors etc from being operational. Not sure of that is to body design or sensor placement. The windshield glass seems to be a lot weaker than the 2023 santa fe as well. Manufacturing defect on drive side door where it had a gap separating it from the body of the car. Did get it repaired in a timely manner from Hyundai service. Seems like 2023 was the sweet spot for reliability, comfort, quality and price.

Nice, but a little disappointed

I really was looking forward to getting this car. After the purchase I enjoyed it very much, until about 10 months into the lease. The entire transmission went on the car and I was forced to pay for a rental for over a month while the dealership hassled me and had to fight with Hyundai to get a new transmission put into the car. I still do not believe that the transmission is a brand new, and fully expect problems in the near future. Glad it is only a lease.

Very Disappointed at this point in time

I am having major issues with the Pirelli tires that came standard with the car. There are many complaints of these tires and a technical bulletin describing the issues. I am hopeful Hyundai will make it right.

Love it so far!

Great vehicle, good gas mileage. Rides nice and is comfortable even on a long road trip. I have the Calligraphy model and the only thing missing is the ergonomic seat "massager'. This is my 2nd Hyundai (owned a Genesis in between) and I love it. Great features and great value for the money.

Pain in the butt and distracting features

Maybe it had one thing going for it and that was that it had better gas mileage than my previous vehicle. The car had so many driving assistance features that it became distracting. And it has a camera above the steering wheel that tells you to "take immediate control of the vehicle!!!" "Driver's face not fully visible!!" and such. And it beeped all the time. There is no turning off these features. It was so annoying, I took a HUGE bath on the trade in to get out of it. I paid $50k on the Calligraphy trim in January of 2025 -- by January of 2026, I had to BEG to get $30k for trade in. JUST ONE YEAR LATER. Because, the dealership said, Hyundai is not a "desirable" car.

Wonderful Mid-sized SUV

Bought this for my wife's vehicle. We both love it, especially they 360-degree camera system and the side camera view for lane changes when the turn signal is on. Great safety features. It handles well and has plenty of acceleration. Does well in snow also. No complaints at all!

Love the Santa fe, despite mechanical issues

Transmission was replaced with only a few thousand miles on the car continued to have shifting and double clutch issues.Despite complaining to the dealer. also a rattle that showed up after the transmission was replaced and will not go away, dealer acknowledged it but they can't find it.

Good Overall

Pros: The vehicle has comfortable seats, ride is good, has good power and the dash layout works. Fuel mileage is acceptable. The vehicle looks good. Cons: My biggest complaint is the twisty gear selector. Whoever came up with this should be sent back to the drawing board. The seatbelt latches are set too deep in the seat, which makes buckling and releasing difficult. The navigation map is not very good. It shows where you are, but the streets are just represented by thin lines with no street names. At night, it is very difficult to see due to the darkened background. They should take some pointers from Google Maps and Waze. When you bring up the expanded media screen, the screen behind it is dimmed so much you can't see the time or other info along the top. I still like the vehicle overall. I would buy it again if some of the items were improved.

Wrong quality and discription

I have problems with the engine revving for no reason and then hesitating problems with the transmission problem with sound of wind blowing in the door or window hearing grinding sound and a tire when I received the vehicle for the first time one of the rotors was rusted, The dealer refused to replace it no one it was a new vehicle and I had it under a week. I am very disappointed about this vehicle.
