2024-2025 models have a engine/transmission problem.

I understand that 2024-2025 Santa Fe models had a new engine/transmission issue where when traveling the car would shift into "limp mode" instantly slowing the car to no more than 20mph suddenly!. Very dangerous. I do not advise these two years on this model, and before buying, I suggest you be sure the model and year you purchase does not have this flaw. I understand the issue for other year Santa Fe (including the 2026 model) have the older type engine ( very reliable) and that they work properly. I have owned Hyundai's ( 2 at a time) for over 30 years and never had an issued until the 2024 and 2025 models and it is a known issue easily found on the Internet. Except for this model, I have previously always been happy with Hyundai vehicles.

Average

I have a check haptic steering alert that has been on the truck since I bought it. The dealership doesn’t know what it is. Also a seatbelt recall and the seatbelt doesn’t work properly now. The backup camera has been replaced twice already .

Terrible, Feels Unsafe

We were happy Santa Fe owners with a 2016 model. The 2025 has a number of “safety” features that make the car actually unsafe. We have experienced the car shutting off in traffic. We have lost count of the number of times the car slams on the brakes and doesn’t let us park. The car doesn’t let us move, which creates a dangerous situation when parking in an urban area. We are very unhappy with the car and regret our purchase.

My experience with my 2025 Santa Fe

Overall My 2025 Santa Fe is a good SUV' However the seating is hard. I wish it had the comfort a seating that is similar to that of a Cadillac is provided. Also there is a button on the steering that I keep touching accidentally that sets the speed limit. It should be somewhere else. Also the pick up is slow

2025 Santa Fe Limited

One of my main considerations when purchased was the beautiful brown leather interior; also the quietness and smooth ride Acceleration is very good once it starts moving, but hesitation is pronounced to my dismay. Smart cruise control with all its functions make highway driving a pleasure.I very much object to having to press brake pedal hard to shift gears as it creats a problem when leaving a car wash with a car close behind.

Lemon

This car has been trouble from almost the beginning. I purchased it brand new off the lot. It’s been one recall after the other, side arms bolts were coming out, it’s a wonder I didn’t kill myself or someone else. The monitor is now going out and to top that off the struts are bad! This is on a car that has 33,000 miles on it. I’ve bought several vehicles over the years and the last 6 have been Hyundais. This will be the last one tho. I’ve never been so disappointed.

Mostly love our Santa Fe

The Santa Fe is one of the most comfortable cars I've ever owned. I was looking for something that would be comfortable for long drives and this certainly fits the bill. The technology is very advanced and at times, a bit of a challenge to figure out but if you spend the time, it's worth it. I do not like the surface on the console for phone charging. Any phone left there for any stretch of time gets extremely overheated. That space could be better utilized. My experience with Hyundai service has not been stellar. I'm on my second dealership after having negative service experiences with the one where I bought the vehicle. Unfortunately, at slightly less than 14,000 miles, my brake rotors are warped. Before finally admitting that they were probably warped when factory installed, the service advisors tried to blame my driving. That issue is still needing a satisfactory resolution. Overall, I love my Santa Fe but have not been impressed with the service.
