Technology Fault

I have been a Hyundai owner since 2005. I bought a 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Select following a kinda hard pressure sale from Titus Will Hyundai in. Olympia, WA with a trade in of my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Ultimate that had over 120,000 miles. So getting to the 2026, the ability to use the. Technology is like having to have a college degree. A vehicle is for transportation from point A to point B. It should not require two things tk login to view the map or use Siri or to listen to basic radio stations. Smart cruise control should be simple not requiring constant resets. Going over small grades in the road the sensors appear to be too delicate as the vehicle slows down. Seating…. No offerings for just 5 people and have to go with the third row seating that took away emergency storage underneath in the previous larger cargo storage area where one could store extra water, compact shovel and fire extinguishers . I cannot do that now. Overalll…. Not impressed as all. My next vehicle just might change my loyalty.

Aside from the color choice and the interior color , the Santa Fe sits to low and features like auto dimming mirrors and heated steering wheels should be standard from the SEL and up

It’s amazing, could use just a tad more though.

Just needs more features, such as… auto dimming side view mirrors, front and rear camera washers, heated washer nozzles and wiper bays, more horse power (300) and lb. ft. torque (325), 3 more speakers for the sound system, 3 steps for the heated steering wheel, front and rear dash cameras, 3-step ventilated second row seats, 3-step heated third row seats, all power second and third row seats, passenger and second row relaxation modes with every feature the driver seats has and a little better durability and better gas mileage (28-35-32).

Overall, great. I don't like that I have to touch the fan to change it. I prefer a button. I have to actually look down to find it whereas a button I can see in the periphery. That is not as safe for driving as it takes a few seconds to get to the measure I want. Also, the vehicle doesn't seem to be sealed well. At a stoplight, I can often smell exhaust from the vehicle next to me.

I don't like that the seat belts are so thin, they twist when going back in and the spring is not very good. When I go to call someone my phone doesn't connect.
