It's the little things

I enjoy almost everything about this vehicle. But, there are some little things that really frustrate me. The most significant is the inaccuracy of the computation of miles per gallon. When it says I get 40 miles per gallon, it's somewhere between 36 and 38 when I compute it manually. Since I am a math teacher I know what I am doing. The calculations are correct. This cannot be accidental. There's no way that you can claim this is just an aberration or something that went wrong. It must be intentional. It's frustrating. It seems dishonest. Most people probably don't do the manual check and except that a computer on board is doing it accurately. But it is not. I expect more from Hyundai than this. The actual miles per gallon is always 2 to 4 miles per gallon less than the cars computer displays. Disturbing. Shameful. I'm also disappointed that a $40,000 vehicle does not entitle me to a free oil change. Thank you for discontinuing that program this year when I purchased the vehicle

Love My Tucson Hybrid, Just a Few Quality Issues

I really enjoy my 2026 Tucson Hybrid. It is comfortable, easy to drive, has great features, and I really like both the interior and exterior design. I like it enough that I recommended it to a friend, who ended up buying one, and I would consider buying another Hyundai in the future. My main disappointment has been a tow hook cover that keeps popping out. The dealer inspected it and confirmed it was a bad part from manufacturing and is supposed to replace it. I have also had the backup camera occasionally show a blank green screen instead of the camera image. Overall, I am very happy with the vehicle. I just hope Hyundai improves quality control on smaller issues like these.

Good experience overall

Well lets just start off with its IMPOSSIBLE to get the suggested mpg. The spec sheet said 36/36 city and highway and I'm lucky if I'm getting 32 and i don't drive aggressively. The other thing is the eye detection device is the FAULTIEST thing I've ever dealt with. My car beeps at me constantly on my work commute in the mornings. No sunglasses or even with sunglasses it still will say my eyes need to be looking forward. Also the "take a break" warning needs to be deactivated.

Nive smooth ride

Overall we are enjoying the ride, couple possible improvements: First: "Updates of system should not prevent car from driving, I did experience that and got stuck in Parking until the upgrade of system is complete". Second : "The phone Charging pad got overheating issue, every time I tried that charging , my phone is extremely hot, seems that charging pad just not charging but cooking the phone as well". I am going to mention that to my dealership during next visit, also I do not like the charging pad location, this is mostly under direct sunlight.

The hybrid drive is smooth!

Good but not Great

Vehicle is an AWD but does not come with a spare tire. If you are on a back country road and have a flat thats more than a nail puncture your stranded. Also, I do not like the transmission shift lever. You cannot shift from reverse into drive unless you have the brake pedal depressed even if the vehicle is not moving. My biggest complaint is the exterior design. Too many unnecessary lines and bends. It's an SUV, make it look like an SUV.

Vehicle is great, but the battery is heating up and it shouldn't. Also 2 recalls already on a car with less than 5,000 miles. I have concerns over quality control.

Excellent value

My 2026 Tucson Hybrid delivers about 35mpg overall. Its it feels solid, and its drivability is great. All of the features combine to deliver a superior driving experience. It performs surprisingly well for a hybrid SUV in acceleration and road handling.

OK, but could be better

We had a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe that had ongoing problems with the transmission and electronics. We have purchased Hyundais consistently since 2002, and loved them, but recently they seem to have gone downhill. We were hoping for a better experience with the Tucson Hybrid. Unfortunately, after having it a month, we realized we were having issues with the electronics again and found there was already a recall. Unfortunately, the last recall for our Santa Fe knocked out our paid BlueLink subscription for over six months with no compensation. Second, I hate that the new cars do not have spare tires. Who in their right mind thought that was a good idea? I had to eliminate the phone tire repair kit, insert, and purchase my own tire, jack, etc. for the back of the car. Third, the gas mileage for a hybrid is substandard, coming in at around 33-34 on the road. It is much smaller than my Santa Fe, and it got 25 on the road. So...not much of an improvement.

2026 Hybrid Tucson

Love my hybrid Tucson, it drives smoothly, silent and has great features. Screen size and options are great. Additional option features. Trunk is spacious. Design us veautifyl. The seats are comfortable although a baby car seat limits a little the space in the back seats for other passengers. The hybrid model still has some details to improve. Tha back camera sometimes stays on, even when the car is set on Drive and moving forward. Not having a spare tire is not acceptable, it ia a must have.
