Well implemented PHEV

Good electric motor. Annoying failure mode with electric tranmission that required extensive debugging and unplugging (and re-plugging) a circuit breaker to allow car to drive (was disabled in parking space).

Love the car great gas mileage for how far I drive. Hit 20k miles and average 78 MPG with road trips included. Can't talk the car up enough.

We love our Tucson

I gave it a 4-star rating based solely on the ride and the tire ratings. It does have an overall rough ride. It will bounce you around, especially in the passenger seat. The tires are good tires, but only have an A wet traction rating, and hard as nails, which adds to the rough ride. Our neighbors have the same vehicle but different tires, and the ride is much improved. The EV, sport, and engine mode controls are poorly thought out, too many choices.. Steering wheel and console controls need to be revised. Hyundai's mapping has to go; it's terrible. I have to have my phone plugged in to access Google or WAZE. My Elantra is wireless, I don't get it. Be aware that if you have an older Android or Apple phone, you might have to upgrade the phone to work with the vehicle. I had an Android Note 8, I was fine with my phone; it paid for. I had to upgrade to a new Ultra 23 so it would link to the vehicle. Overall build quality is excellent.

Great ride great mialage

Since I do a lot of local driving I get the best gas mileage available for this car. My average mileage per tank is at least 1500 miles for one tank because I do a lot of local driving which doesn't use any gas I use the electric miles.

Comfortable ride and very fuel efficient

Easy handling,comfortable. Nice storage. Gas mileage pretty good using hybrid but EV performance disappointing, particularly in winter. .

We like our PHEV Tucson very much.

Our Tucson averages well over 100mpg. On one tank last summer I got 195mpg. It handles well, rides comfortably and has plenty of power.

Hyundai PHEV - Vermont

Good vehicle overall. I’ve had some engine issues which is why I didn’t say it was an amazing car. Service department had exceptional customer service. I also don’t like the auto adjusting climate control. It changes during inconvenient times.
