Vehicle Should Have Option of Full ICE Mode

I find the lack of a physical key to be a safety issue. This and the fact that ANYONE can unlock and open the door if the key fob is near the vehicle without pressing the unlock button. I am trying to avoid driving this vehicle for as long as possible to prevent another rear-end collision. The manual states that the vehicle should be driven at least 10 miles per month. The vehicle supports EV and Hybrid mode, but I really like to have an ICE mode to burn up the old fuel in the tank and to lubricate the engine.

2024 Tucson

Love the car just not the plugin part. The limited miles per charge. Plus not being able to charge it at the fast charging stations. Definitely not worth the extra money for the plug in part.

Love it-not always keen on the service..

I love my Tucson. It has been a great vehicle so far & we have not only traveled locally but a few thousand miles on a trip. Great gas mileage on our cross-country trip when we didn't bother to charge the battery. Only trouble is some rust that has appeared on the door jam on the passenger front side & warranty is dragging their feet on issuing a ticket to fix it.

Solid vehicke

It’s a good car. Get about 30 electric miles per day. Mileage on a recent long road trip was about 28 mpg without plugging in. Good acceleration and handling.

Great car with a few glitches.

The Hyundai Plug in Tucso is a great car to drive and we love the safety features built into it. However, a few minor drawbacks are frustrating. The touch door handles locks and unlocks don’t work properly. The automatic drivers seat works erratically, and other features are too complicated to understand.

Major problem surfaced at 14,000

My whole entertainment center went out. The $4,000 part was ordered. It is inconvenient not to have those features that I rely on. It’s covered under warranty. The issue is that it happened at all on such a new vehicle.

Love Tuscon PHEV

I love my PHEV! I get 95MPG Summer and 85MPG winter. I am a former Lexus owner and this feels close to the luxury at a much better price point.

2024 Tucson PHEV

Driving this vehicle has mostly been positive. It has so far been reliable transportation. On down side it only gets 33 miles of pure electric range where as most competing PHEV's are getting 40+ electric miles of range. I feel Hyundai is falling behind in this regard. After two years of ownership I'm noticing ratting coming from the sunroof and back cargo area so build quality needs more effort in this department. Also wind noise is very noticeable from the windshield and side glass. Not the worse I've heard but noticeable at highway speed. Perhaps double laminated glass would fix this issue. Would I buy again? Yes, if Hyundai can boost the electric range and fix the wind noise.

Weak hybrid engine

The car runs very smooth on electric engine but makes a lot of noise while running on Hybrid engine. The average milage on Hybrid engine is < 30 miles/gallon on surface street.

This Car Sounds Like a Construction Vehicle When it Backs Up

I strongly dislike this vehicle. The first, and worst, issue is that it beeps like a construction truck when you back up. It's unbelievably loud. My neighbor has complained to the HOA and me about the sound. I reached out to the sales representative that sold me the car and he thought it was funny. Appalling. The construction of this vehicle is inferior to my previous 2022 version. It drives differently, like it's a little looser and not gripping the road. I've had the car for just over a year and it reeks. The smell that comes out when I turn on the heat or AC is awful. I've never had this issue with any other vehicle. I even put a moisture absorber in the car and it didn't make a difference. The EVC component is a joke. Don't bother treating it like an EV, it only has a 25 mi battery and it takes forever to charge.

Comfortable on Long Driving Trips

Glad I leased the car instead of outright purchasing it. The clock has changed times on its own a couple of times in our general area. Sometimes the radio just stops working. When I reboot it it usually comes back on. Not happy with the service department at the nearby dealership. They are not very helpful and try to sell you things that shouldn't be needed. Stopped the other day to ask a question, middle of the day, and had a hard time getting anyone to talk to me. When I finally got to someone, he told me that the answer was somewhere in the manual.
