Damaged Steering Wheel -- Blamed it on "Sun Damage"
This dealership has overall been very friendly and provides good amenities for those waiting for their vehicle to be serviced. I brought my Elantra in for a routine oil change and waited the usual hour and a half. Upon completion I was given the keys back to my vehicle--nothing new here, but after I took it out to the road I noticed there was a long and noticeable scratch on the steering wheel, under left-hand side. This is the side that the driver gets in and out on. I know for a fact that it was not there when I brought the vehicle in, and the service rep told me that it was "sun damage" (we live in Phoenix, AZ) and that I probably only noticed it after the service. He did not note anything down but promised to replace it under warranty when I come in for my next service. I will keep this in mind and expect the replacement next service, however if it does not happen I will update this review.

Ricardo Garcia your advisor did note your file that following service there was a concern with damage to the steering wheel that he intended to address for you.

Obviously it would never our intention to damage a vehicle in our care.  If we had been aware of ithe damge we would have wanted to address it immediately up front.  We're sorry you discovered only after you had picked up but know that we're here for you and we'll make it right.

Maintenance service is well done here, but requires planning.
The way Earnhardt Hyundai North Scottsdale provides service is just amazing. They explain everything ahead of time and then call if they discover anything that might need immediate attention. They explain the invoice in detail and go over future items that you need to pay attention to. My only problem is trying to get an appointment on short notice...not easy! I understand why. You are very good at what you do, so you are booked up pretty solid a few days and sometimes a week or more. But, it's worth the wait for sure! Great job!

Service was excellent. Ricardo Garcia was the reason I use your service. My only negative was that Earnhardt Hyundai North Scottsdale held their Christmas Party during business hours. It was annoying. When the party was over, the employee tables removed & they had food leftover they could have invited customers waiting for service. Of course the employees would have first crack at the leftovers, but after that why not invite customers. I'm just saying.....
