Steer clear of this place.
We had an incredibly disappointing experience here. Despite multiple visits, the shop failed to resolve an issue with our car. What should have been a simple part replacement turned into a year-long ordeal with appointment after appointment—and still no proper fix. When we finally went to a different repair shop, they confirmed that the original problem had never been addressed correctly by Automotion.

Customer service was just as bad. The front desk staff were rude and defensive, especially when my husband brought up the unresolved issue. Instead of listening, they were dismissive and confrontational.

To make matters worse, their paperwork was a mess. They couldn't find our latest invoices and relied only on outdated records. Thankfully, we had our own documentation on hand.

Between the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and subpar repairs, we completely lost trust in this shop. Don’t waste your time or money—go somewhere else.

Hot Days - Freon Boost
I called for an appointment before 9:00AM for a boost in air-conditioner coolant. Appointment confirmed and drop-off before 9:30. Courtesy ride to the gym. Late morning call to let me know service was complete and to ask if I'd like a ride back. I picked up my car before noon and enjoyed excellent climate control. Excellent experience!

Poor communication
Dropped my car off to get the door locks fixed on Friday morning, and they said it would be an easy quick fix! should only take a couple hours. That afternoon never heard from them. So I called and they said it won’t be done till Monday. Monday rolls around no phone call. Didn’t hear from them till Wednesday saying I need a new part and will be a week till it’s done. The next Friday I haven’t heard from them so I stopped by the shop to see what’s going on. And they say my car is done, but they need to put the keys back together and do a test drive. It will be done Monday! Monday rolls around and get a call at 10:18 saying my car is done! I go to pick it up and when I get in the passenger side is still torn apart with his notes in it. I definitely wasn’t happy after that. They put it back together and I picked it up later. They didn’t even clean the inside or anything. I don’t think they take pride in there work.

My 2013 Mini Cooper
I really didn't want to fill this out because I'm not very happy about this subject.
I brought my car to you to fix several months ago and you determined that it needed a new fuel pump and a new fuel filter, which took forever to do but you did do it. I was charge around $2600 dollars for this work . After finally getting the car back we drove it for a little bit and ran out of gas. So we had it towed to a close mechanic who told us the gas gauge wasn't working right because an arm that operates it is broken, (this was supposed to be a new fuel pump). So since the work you did was under warranty we brought it back, you worked on it for several weeks, charge for another part, and the gauge still doesn't work.

Verification of suggested Repairs
I hadn't noticed any of the signs that I needed significant work done, but after a trip to the dealership for an oil change that took two hours and ended with the suggestion of close to $1,500 worth of repairs to be completed on another day. Then I asked for the quotes to be sent, waiting and never receiving, but being concerned about the scare tactic that was used to make me afraid that my axle was about to snap and hinder my vehicle's operation. I was able to get in quickly, have a diagnostic performed and complete the most necessary repairs for a reasonable cost within a day (pick up next day). Bonus, there are really cute doggie mascots hanging around.

An unusual experience
You have been without emotions since it was compact car on the corner of Vassar and Wells 40 or more years ago.
This is the first time that I did not feel like a valued customer. With the acceptance of Shana, communication was poor And I felt like the mechanics did not actually know how to diagnose the problem. I understand that you guys were very busy and short staffed which can certainly account for this. I will still be coming back but I'm hoping that this was an anomaly.

Toyota Sequoia - 2002
On a Friday morning, one fan blade decided to break itself off and sheared off a small section of the fan shroud and poke a hole in the radiator. I’m still fairly new to the area of Reno/ Sparks. And I didn’t know which shop to take my Toyota too. Then I realized that one of my neighbors works at Auto Motion. After a few hours of messaging back and forth, we had a work order filled out. Parts were ordered and delivered on Wednesday morning and my Toyota was delivered to the shop for repairs. That afternoon, when my neighbor gets off work, he was able to drive my Toyota home. I’m amazed how smoothly everything went. I am pleased that my rig is back to being road worthy. I have managed to only drive it about 5 to 10 miles since the repairs and is running smoothly as if nothing happened.
