Just don’t
Paid for a diagnosis and didn’t get it. They just did what I said I thought was wrong. Overcharged me and didn’t even fix the problem.
Ashley C., Customer service from Darrell's Service responded on 07/09/2026 11:33 AM

Ali, regarding your review, the previous issue with your vehicle from 7/7/26 (blower motor) had been fixed, which you spoke with the technician Jason about before and after the service. During that conversation you gave him the go-head on the work and when it was completed you came in, paid for it, and picked up your vehicle. At that time, you didn't mention that you had any issue with feeling overcharged, which we wouldn't do in the first place.  Our pricing is very competitive compared to other professional shops around town and we do not scam anyone as you claimed.  After the blower motor job was completed (7/7/26), when you spoke with Jason over the phone, you had asked him if the "A/C ran cold now?", he then explained he would not know that without hooking it up to a machine due to that being a different issue, an A/C issue, with the vehicle than the blower motor. Per Jason, you stated to him that "it would be fine” seemingly not wanting to have the secondary A/C issue diagnosed at the time and left satisfied with the work that had been completed on the blower motor.

Jason then came back from lunch yesterday, 7/8/26, to your vehicle parked by his bay with the intended diagnostic machine next to it. He was told by Kelly, whom you spoke with to set up the secondary diagnostic for your A/C, and that you were wanting the A/C issue to be checked out after all, which was no problem for us to do.
Jason then hooked up to the machine previously discussed in your phone call, diagnosing the A/C issue at hand. The diagnostic showed that the compressor in the vehicle was internally bad.  After full diagnosis of that compressor and the power grounds/circuits checking out to be working well, he priced up the solution to fix the compressor clutch. He then called you and went over what the charges would be to fix the A/C and compressor issue; I believe which would have been around $2100.00. You declined to fix it at that rate, which we totally understand. Jason then said he would get everything buttoned up, your paperwork, and vehicle would be ready to be picked up when you were ready.

That brings us to the incident that happened yesterday, 7/8/26, around 5:30pm. You stated above in your review that you paid for the diagnostic, but you did not pay that fee, which your vehicle did in fact get. Your vehicle was diagnosed with a compressor clutch found to be burnt, causing it not to work, which again, Jason spoke to you earlier in the day about. Instead, you yelled at multiple members of our staff, including the owner, called them names, cussed, and refused to hear what anyone had to say other than yourself and person who came in with you. whom, I may add, also tried to intimidate us with your place of work and job title there. We do not conduct ourselves or business like this, and we were not going to match your energy or be intimidated, as it was completely uncalled for.

We appreciate our staff keeping level heads while being spoken to the way they were, are sorry to the other customers who witnessed this fit happening, and do not appreciate the way things went as an upstanding small business who has been around for decades. You left out the door yelling, with your keys in hand, and an unpaid diagnostic fee of $112.00 and unfortunately, you are no longer welcome at Darrell's Service again.   Thank you.
