They LIE so Read the Fine Print
I just purchase a 2025 Hyundai Elantra yesterday (5/5/2025). Although the car itself is great, I was lied to by two different members of the sales team.

I was told that in order to get a particular rebate, I needed to finance the car. Since I planned to pay for the car in full to avoid interest charges, I asked if there were any early penalty charges and both of these Hyundai employees told me "no", I would only have to pay the interest up to the time that I paid the amount off in full.

In reading the fine print after leaving the dealer, I see that there is a $75 charge if I do not keep the loan agreement for at least 6 months. Lie #1

I also noticed that in the contract that they had me sign without the opportunity to fully review it, basically it was sign here, sign here, I see that they listed my trade in as $9000, which was $500 less than what we agreed to. Lie #2

We had agreed to a deal where my bottom line amount to be paid, including all taxes, government license fees, and dealer charges would be $18,400.

Since I noticed other charges on top of that amount (a government documentary stamp tax, government taxes not included in cash price, and a license fee), I asked about these additional charges and I was told that they were charges that went with the optional extended warranty that I had agreed to. Based on the dishonesty that I already experienced, I'm guessing that this was Lie #3.

If Jenkins Hyundai of Ocala does not correct this sale and void the $75 early payoff penalty charge AND add the $500 to my trade in, I will be canceling my extended warranty and extended service plan, which I can legally cancel, and sharing this review all over the internet, including Yelp, Google reviews, and the Better Business Bureau.
