The Cheapest Parts Available Were Installed and Failed Twice
The Ignition Coils installed in my vehicle failed twice. Before my third trip back I stopped at the auto parts store Tire Choice purchased the parts from and has a diagnostic which showed a misfire on cylinder 4 which was the spot the replacement was in. By then they had replaced the coils but with the same brand part from the same auto part store.

The manager became obviously frustrated I had returned with the same issue. However he agreed to check the coil. He then told me their diagnostic wasn't showing a misfire and the check engine light had magically gone off it must be a different issue not their coils. That is when I told him I just had it diagnosed at the parts store where the part was purchased and their scan showed a misfire on cylinder 4. He became even more frustrated so I ask for a refund since the part were warranted and one had failed twice but said OK i'll check with my general manager, we even gave you free labor (yes, the general manager was in the store when I went in to purchase tires and offered me free labor and I accepted his offer), while I'm waiting for him to get back to me I' m going to have my mechanic go over everything. This time he come back in with a smerk and said, "It's not our part the #4 spark plug is cross threaded, we can't even get it out. That's what's causing your misfire!" Because that was not believable.I left, went to another shop and watched the mechanic pull all 4 plugs and put them back. He wrote up all 4 plugs are good but the vehicle is missing oil. Tire Choice changed my oil 01/29/19 and my vehicle had only.been driven 2k miles since the oil changed. The oil line was at the bottom of the dip stick. i go home call Tire Choice Manager tell him I watched the manager check my spark plugs and all 4 are good. He replied I will.order you a genuine toyota coil, it will be here tomorrow i' ll call you! THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME!! When I went to get the 1 replacement coil the manager installed it but notated my receipt, "CUSTOMER KEEPS COMING IN FOR IGNITION COIL ISSUES EVERY TIME ON ARRIVE THERE IS NO ISSUE." I signed the receipt since he had replaced the misfiring cheap coil it doesn't matter that he put a false notation into their system. I leave, pick up oil and when I raise my hood the engine cover isn't on properly for the second time. That's when I noticed they broke both brackets.
