Generally very favorable experience with Genesis for 12 years.

Unfortunately I had a 6 week long electrical system odyssey with my 2024 Genesis GV70 Electrified SUV that I wouldn't wish on anyone. The local delaership service techs, Service manager and General manager were kind, professional and communicative but alas ill-equipped to resolve my issue.

Great Car

I am extremely happy with my Genesis GV70 EV! Acceleration and ride are outstanding. Handling and comfort are consistent with what I would expect from a luxury car. I love every thing about it except: 1) Apple car play is sluggish and I do not like that it requires a code for wireless. It should just pick up your phone automatically without clicking numerous times. 2) EV range is good but not great - 400 - 500 miles on a charge would be preferable

Sometimes the vehicle emergency brakes when nothing is around. Strange, yes. Fixable? Only if the service department can experience the same event. Likelihood of that, slim to none. Will it continue to do this? I don’t know.

Fantastic with one draw back

I really love my Genesis - comfortable, smooth, sleek body style, BUT the software is always having troubles. Randomly, my temp controls will be in Celsius, and the buttons on the steering wheel do something other than what they are programmed to do. Maps is often wrong too.

Luxury SUV but still some bugs to be worked out

Love almost everything about the car. Improvements needed in several areas. First the display system is constantly going off and on. The range needs to be improved and the main issue for me is service. There are not enough Genesis dealerships and getting service is difficult at best. The recalls are usually about updating software and need to be handled remotely. Several attempts to get the display system fixed have been unsuccessful. I would not purchase another unless service issues were resolved.

Electric Gv70

This vehicle is extremely nice. There are a couple quirks that I am disappointed with there is not heated steering wheel. I would expect a vehicle at this price the heated steering wheel would be standard which online it does say that it is so I’m not sure why it is not. The windshield seems to not be situated properly when the ac is on in the summer there is a very loud crack like a rock hit the windshield. There is also a hollow sound that sounds like when you blow air over a bottle, when it is windy outside. The electric system seems to reset itself occasionally and the units for the temp will switch to Celsius intermittently.

Love the car, the handling, and ammenities.

The car is amazing in my view. There are some subtle tuning issues in dealing with the amazing power, but that is on the driver. Once you understand how to control the power, this car definitely is on par with my BMWs. Customer service is not quite on par with the other luxury car makers, so if there is one area Genesis needs to improve, that is the one.

Great EV, but could use a few improvements

This is a great car overall, but rear seat room and cargo space is small, even for a 'compact' SUV. It has 'understeer' which I don't like and did not really notice on my test drives, but after driving for a while you notice it. I drive sports cars too so maybe it's just me, but it's a safety issue as I feel it 'wanders' a bit; putting in sport mode to tighten the suspension does not really help. The dash controls are hard to get used to; they are very sensitive touch screen controls and hard to push them when you're driving down the road. The screen for all the controls could also use some improvements too, but I could go on all day about that. On a positive note, it's a rocket ship and overall is a fun ride.
