Love my car but may indeed have a lemon on my hands

After waiting 3 months to get the exact color combo (black exterior/chestnut brown interior) I wanted, I absolutely fell in love with my 2025 Genesis GV70. It drives like a dream. Unfortunately, in less than 18 months of ownership, I have had 2 significant issues with my car. The first being a complete failure of all things electrical on the dashboard (speedometer, gas gauge, etc.). This repair required that the dealership have my car for 3+ months as parts were not readily available. The second happened just last week (on Christmas Eve), the power steering went. The steering rack needs to be replaced - which after a quick Google search I now know is a significant repair requiring that most of the inner workings of the car be removed for the replacement. We shall see how long it takes to receive the part/do the repair but at this point, I'm not optimistic and am actually quite nervous about driving the car post repair. I drive quite a bit and need to know my car is in working order and reliable. Not sure I will ever feel like that about this specific car after these 2 incidents.

2025 Black Out

Performance wise and anesthetics the vehicle is pleasing. The roof line is too low. There are no fog lights and the info screen is not large/wide enough...interior is not quiet. Reflection from exterior shows on driver mirror...major distraction.

I do love my vehicle there are a few things I think should be standard in this vehicle, one cold set setting we do live in Phoenix. Two a heads-up display THREE the center consul should be a little bigger. The vehicle is very nice I do love it.

As I drive more, my opinion gets better. Have issue with vehicle showing service due when service has been completed and cleared on computer system. Vehicle does have some nice features. I would have liked HUD, but not 3.5t. so I have 2.5t and no HUD

Genesis put their soul of engineering and style into this car

I now have over 12,000 miles on my GV70, the Prestige model with Select package, Advanced Package, Sport Prestige Package and a few others. I looked at the Porche Macan which had less room inside and would have cost $40,000 more for all the technology and options I got. After a year I still feel it is the best-looking compact luxury car on the road. The car is full of technology that unlike so many others in its class is very intuitive to use. Many functions can be accessed in multiple ways, buttons, touchscreen, verbal. There are numerous customizations for individual drivers. I am still finding new tech features just about every week. I have the 4-cylinder turbo, 300 HP. Over the past 6,000 plus mile I have averaged 26.1 MPG mostly on regular and mid-grade gas. I experimented with all three grades and have not found any meaningful difference between premium and regular even though premium is preferred according to the manual. The difference in acceleration is minimal. There is a very slight turbo lag when accelerating hard from a stop. Using the Sport or Sport plus settings take most of this away and offer an exhilarating drive experience. This model came with the 21 inch, 40 series side wall tires (the very grippy rubber that typically wears out in 25,000 miles and gives a stiffer ride). I was able to get the dealer to switch the wheels and tires to the 19inch 235/55 Michelin's from the model just below the Sport Prestige. Downsides are the lack of decent storage space under the trunk floor mat as well as the side compartments in the doors. Both less than the 2013 Hyundai Sport SUV it replaced. While I love the looks of the rear of the car, like so many other SUV's there really is no bumper so if you get hit in the rear even at 5 mph it's going to be big buck to fix.
